Penshurst Hotel

The rooms are recently refurbished and very comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet in the room given the VIP Lounge and Sports Bar down stairs on a Friday night. The room had air conditioning, the bathroom was great and had nice amenities. I had a $17 Rump Steak special at the bar and it was one of the best value for money meals I ate. My steak was cooked perfectly.

The check-in process was tricky. You had to check in at the bar which wasn’t really made clear and it took quite a while so was a bit awkward standing in the middle of the bar with my big suitcase. Other than that everything else was great.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Price was indeed very good for the provided facility.

I was a bit confused at first to find the hotel because the reception was in the same place with the bar and the casino things. There was some weird loud noise at room 6 where I stayed every 15 minutes, likely coming from the air conditioner. The location was a bit far off from the city center, and it was very quiet at night, I couldn't do anything else other than sleeping. However, there was a bus stop and train station nearby, so getting to the airport was convenient.

Hidden treasure: hotel and rooms newly renovated you can smell the fresh paint and new carpet. Bathrooms are big, clean and well stocked. Having a beer garden with great meals is also handy with coffee shops and a variety of restaurants in walking distance. Public transport is within walking distance too.

Rooms are a bit small for a double and a single bed.

Hotel and staff were great. The location was very good so convenient in relation to public transport and a variety of shops, cafes and eateries. Room was well laid out and spacious. Bathroom very generous size.

Whilst there were a few pluses in relation to location there was one disappointment which I realise is something that cannot be controlled that is the noise overnight - the only 'dislike' I can come up with.8

Convenient when you nee to go to the airport . It was very clean and the bed was amazing

They have a big car park which you can use but you have to wait until they open it next morning around 11 am. If you need to leave early then 11am you have to park the car somewhere outside. In my case it was quite far.

bed was comfortable, bathroom was awesome! the room smelled nice, it was clean, it was perfect! I honestly cannot wait to come back I wish I took photos but I will next time so others can see how beautiful this hotel is

the room is small, but…if it’s just a couple or couple with baby or single person it’s actually perfect! if you have big family you’ll need a bigger room

Convenient Location, Kind and Helpful Staff, Clean and Fresh Room, Recently Renovated, Comfortable beds.

Aircon Sometimes made strange noises, not really noticeable however so wasn’t a problem :) Parking was slightly inconvenient but again, we weren’t really bothered and friendly staff helped direct us.

Very clean, comfortable, very good meals, staff were pleasant. Being a hotel we thought the noise might keep us awake, but was no worries did not hear a thing and we slept well. You could see that the hotel had gone through some renovations and was tactfully done. Very pleased and at a reasonable price

Friendly staff, nice modern clean room with huge ensuite. Good location, close to cafes, restaurants.

The air con makes a little vibration noice every 4-5 mins which was a bit annoying trying to sleep. It wasn’t as bad when air con temp was turned up to around 23. Management were aware of the problem. This aside it is a great place to stay and would stay there again 😊
