Kacy's Bargara Beach Motel

Well protected balcony, lovely view of beach area and close by to food outlets. The nearby hotel offered an extensive range of meal choices to cater for specific dietary needs. Several restaurants within easy walking distance. We were especially impressed by the Red Chilli, the Thai restaurant’s authentic meals. Staff very friendly, room attendant went out of her way to ensure we had all we needed.

We were appreciative of having tea and coffee making facilities however missed being able to reheat food items and enjoy take out meals on the balcony, also heat wheat pillows to ease muscle stiffness after travel. A small microwave useful.

Been to Bargara thrice and 2 / 3 were spent in Kacy's. No other place we would stay though. So glad they placed us to level 2, was not as tough carrying our big luggage up. Close to the beach, they have a pool. The room is equipped with basic coffee and tea making facilities. The room we had is big enough for 2 people - 3 might be a struggle if staying with a child, request for an extra bed. Right next to the hotel - not bad for a feed but Kacy's has its own restaurant too.

Our room was very clean and comfortable size. Both of us could move easily around the room, Location was excellent with many amenities just around the corner and down the road. It was only a short drive from Elliot Heads and Coral Cove both of which were well worth a visit, For family with young children Coral Cove is definitely a must and lots of fun. The whole trip was very relaxing for us.

In an ideal world a lift would be great as we were on the top floor (3rd floor) without a lift. It only becomes a problem for people with mobility issues and families with prams.

The fact that we were late and they arranged the key for us when we arrived at 10pm. The coffee, tea and milk was provided. The beach being a 100m walk away. There are a lot of restaurant options in close proximity to the hotel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Great play area for kids just across the road next to the beach.

Location was opposite the beach and having a balcony overlooking this was amazing. Room was large and comfy bed. We were walking distance to everything. Excellent Golf course was public and we were able to walk and play/hire clubs. Nice cafe Rick's opposite and excellent pasta and beer at 384 North Micro Brewery in Bargara. 3 mins walk. Laundry on site was good. A great place to stay in this quiet beachside area. Recommended!

It would have helped if the staff had informed us that the Kacy's restaurant was closed all Easter weekend. We arrived Thursday eve to hear this and it would have been helpful to know prior to arrival. However, we found enough places that were open.

Free WiFi was some of the best hotel WiFi I've experienced. Beautiful views overlooking the Bargara waterfront. Right next to Ricks Cafe which was great (but always busy). Was very easy to find and check-in was very streamlined. Really didn't have too much to complain about. Shower was awesome! Was able to make the rooms very dark for those extra long sleep-ins.

The bed was okay but their choice of pillows left a lot to be desired. Certainly wasn't horrible and I've slept on worse. But I'd probably bring my own pillow next time. Honestly my only complaints were more things I'm just picky about but shouldn't really impact your choice to stay.

Central to all things at Bargara. Lovely outlook and great for a walk each morning. Hotel next door for dining. The set menu at the restaurant at kacy's was a little more extravagant than we normally do but was perfect for a special outing. Will be back.

No complaints about anything. I'm not sure whether in low season the same amount of cafes would be open as there needs to be options esp when staying in the motel

Beautiful location right across the road from the waterfront and within steps of most options for eating and drinking. Balcony was delightful and protected us from wind and rain and was our ‘go-to’ spot at the end of the day.

The bed was a lot softer than either of us are accustomed to and our sleep was interrupted. The upside though was with air off and door open, the waves could be heard and that was soothing.

I have stayed here previously with work. The restaurant was not open on the Monday night. The location and view are excellent. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The reception lady was excellent both on check-in and soon after when my wife reported an issue.

On arrival at the room, the cleaners were sitting on the balcony having a smoke break and the room was still to be finished. My wife is asthmatic and we could smell the smoke when I went to the balcony and opened the door. I believed the room was cleaned and ready for occupancy. The cleaners told us that they would need a further ten minutes as they sat and had a cigarette break on the balcony. My wife went and spoke with the reception lady who checked us in (She was excellent on both occasions). Unsure how this was addressed with the cleaning staff. First time I have ever seen this anywhere I have stayed domestically or overseas.

Kacy's is just beside the Beach Hotel and has its own restaurant with great specials. The room I rented was the one fronting the beach and the playground. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool as it was raining when we went. There is a laundry facility. Bring lots of coins. Bottleshop is close by and plenty of take away /restaurants in the area. The room is cleaned everyday - we had a fridge, coffee, tea, facilities inside the room and iron and ironing board. We got to Bargara quite late so the receptionist arranged for our keys to be picked up from their security lock box. Balcony is big enough for us.
