Silver Hills Motel

People were friendly and service was great. Really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant, drinks by the open fire and continental breakfast. Bed was super comfy and the shower had good pressure with nice toiletries provided.

Room was cold and smelled musty/damp on arrival. Warmed up nicely on our return from dinner after having left the oil heater on. When going to bed, we went to get the extra pillows from the cupboard but found them to have mould on them, so they couldnt be used. We appreciate this would be difficult to combat given the environment and weather. We didnt bother asking for them to be replaced, but am sure the staff would have happily don't so had we, as they were very accommodating in every respect. It wouldnt stop us from staying there again.

The Location. Room presented clean and tidy.

Staff could have been friendlier. We stayed at a number of places throughout our trip and this accommodation disappointed us in terms of staff friendliness. All other accommodation sent a message advising of where to find the key (yes it was on the office door but everyone sent me a message prior to arriving telling me this). Also, I didn't find the staff that friendly i.e. hi, how are you, where are you from, where are you heading. It came across as just routine - hi, checking out, OK thanks. That was it. I doubt I would stay here again.

The greeting we were given on arrival was very heartwarming, Silver Hills Motel location and outlook are in a prominent position to view the history of the past in a time gone by..... the view was stunning!!! and we are so pleased we had the pleasure of staying in Silver Hills Motel. The rooms were comfy and clean, the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent. With many thanks, Vicky and Murrey.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The whole entire staff, could not fault this place in anyway, except the restaurant was closed on the night we arrived, havng to go into town to one of the pubs for dinner big let down, ( the one on the left as you drive into town) but it was made up the following night, as the restaurant was open, and wow the B O B Meal was fantastic. Not to mention the Garlic Prawns, Curry Scallops and the Bruschetta. Ask for room 37 it has a fantastic view of Mountains, that's if we haven't already booked it. LOL

Maybe shorter Shower Curtains, other that nothing

The dinner we had there was really good. Decent sized portions and the vegetables were delicious. The drive to and from the town were amazing with beautiful scenery and windy roads. The room was comfortable and the free toiletries were much appreciated.

The cost of the accommodation was a bit more than other comparable accommodation that were a bit more comfortable and cosy than this location.

Room was very clean and had everything I needed for my couple days away for work. Loved the view from the room window. Bed was comfortable and fridge kept drinks super chilled. No toaster in the rooms but I don't need one. Fantastic food in the restaurant

I was reasonably close to the restaurant so it was quite noisy while the restaurant was operating

It was close to town staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The heating for the rooms could do with a different approach. It’s not just this business on the west coast as other places I have stayed are similar but because it can be cool I feel the heating is not sufficient

It was well situated and easy to get around from this point. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly too.

We needed a window that would open so that we could keep cooler at night- it got very stuffy in our room

The location was great. Bed very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. Food was exceptional.

Unfortunately there were a lot of trucks and traffic and was.quite noisy at the end block where we were situated. They only had one room booked for us but we had 2 booked. Was sorted quickly.

Exceptionally comfortable bed and quality linen.

Toilet/bathrom constantly damp with no exhaust fan and mould. Likewise the guest washing machine seal also contained mould..
