Golden Heritage Accommodation

Lovely easy check in, a casual stroll from town. Very friendly and an exceptionally clean motel room. Very comfortable bed and a fantastic large shower head. I also love that for the price, there was a mini bar available, which was very convenient, and an espresso pod machine as well as a good selection of tea and complimentary biscuits - perfect for an early morning pick me up. The appliances were very clean and the large TV had a great selection.

Not something that I feel overly strongly about, but if I had a choice I would chose a separate shampoo and conditioner in the shower, as opposed to a body wash and shampoo + conditioner 2 in 1. This definitely did not hinder my overnight stay though, haha.

A very light + airy room that opened out onto a balcony with a great view looking out over a paddock towards the Gorge. The room was very large + you were able to open the balcony door to take advantage of all that fresh air. Located next to a walking/bike track made for a quick trip to the unique craft + delicious food shops for which Beechworth is famous... + that included breakfast at the Beechworth Bakery. The staff were super nice + friendly + helpful + informative.

The location is about a 10 min walk from town.it’s close to the road, but our room at the back looked out on a rural view and was free of road noise. There was a nice balcony with table and chairs, an attractive place to watch the sun set. The room (an executive double) was spacious, comfortable, nicely furnished and had a kitchenette. We were grateful that our hosts rang us shortly after checkout to advise us we had left an item of luggage behind, and kept it safe for us to pick up from Reception.

Everything! Our cabin was extremely clean and well maintained, the beds were super comfy, there was plenty of cooling/heating and even ceiling fans! The little kitchenette was actually pretty big and contained all the essentials from pots and pans to tea, coffee as well as a coffee pod machine with plenty of pods and milk too. The views were amazing, the pool was clean and the owners are really lovely people! Our breakfast was brought to our cabin and there was sooo much yummy food, all cooked to perfection! We just love this place so much that we have decided we'll be making yearly trips to come and stay!

The place was gorgeous! The staff were so lovely! We enjoyed our stay, and the shower was huge, and towels were brilliant. Loved that they provided hand wash and body wash etc. Sofas were comfortable and there was ample space in the place, with a nice kitchen and tables chairs and additional tables n chairs out on the deck were awesome. Great kitchen faculties such as kettle. Private car park was great. Loved the scenery so much, beautiful rolling hills and trees. Not far from town, just 3 min drive into town.

Housekeeping were not clean sorry. Mold on the tiles (they could use exit mold to clean the red mold off the tiles/grout areas in the shower area) and the toilet stank of urine as soon as we arrived. Mattresses were horrible. Hate feeling springs of mattress, really should put those egg-carton type mattress toppers on, this will make a huge difference to the comfort level. We lost a lot of sleep so we were cranky and tired from lack of sleep. Paying $297 a night is a lot for lack of comfort of mattresses. Please change this so people can get a good sleep. That is what a holiday should be for?

Beautiful location and good sized cabin for a family. Peaceful and quiet. We loved the wildlife and the water features.

The bath was not draining well, so we chose not to use the spa. The light above the kitchen was out and the towel rack in the second bedroom was loose, but these are not a major concern. The pool was not as clean as we would have liked, with lots of spiders nest around the perimeter.

It was quiet as our building was located a little away from the road. The property is surrounded by established gardens and nice views. A relaxing setting. We could park our car outside our room. It was only about 3 minute drive to the centre of the very impressive town. Our room was relatively large and well laid out. Everything was clean. Bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Believe there was wifi but did not use it.

Couldn't find any problems though we were there for only one night. Congratulations to the management.

Lovely motel with beautiful grounds and views at the back, a nice swimming pool and big, clean rooms with comfy beds. The motel is family-run and the owners are very nice (I think I spotted the teenage kids helping out a bit around the hotel too😊). It’s an easy 15-20 minute walk into town or to the lake.

The toiletries are a bit basic. They provide only two-in-one shampoo, with no separate conditioner, so would recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. We would have loved a room on the side with the views (but ours was a late booking and they were booked out).

Very spacious cabin with everything we needed in a picturesque location. We enjoyed listening to the kookaburras and currawongs each morning and evening and eating our meals taking in the beautiful view from our balcony. We appreciated the convenience of the secure bike shed with individual bike locks, BBQ swimming pool and spa after a big day cycling on the rail trail.

Our room was comfortable and really clean. We loved having the two armchairs as well as the dining chairs and table, this allowed us to relax and enjoy the view outside in a little more comfort. The location is a comfortable walk to town too. a great base to enjoy the broader region and Alm it has to offer. This motel ticked all the boxes for us, and we enjoyed our 3 night stay.
