Swan Hill Resort

Beautiful location.Central to everything. Relaxed and great value for money. Rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Although the pool/games room/mini golf was showing its age, we still had a lot of fun and it definitely broke up the work day and for the price is unusual to even have that option. No microwave in room. But there is local restaurants that deliver. All up excellent value for money and a really lovely garden area.

Good size rooms. Pools, sauna, mini golf, 8 ball, air hockey & table tennis were great. Free parking Close to town & river, all within walking distance.

Toilet in one of our rooms was dodgy & didn’t always flush. Shower head in our other room had a big split in it , so water sprayed out of there. Spa bath in room definitely needs updating. Spa outside was broken.

Quiet room and comfy bed

Paid in full to Booking .com prior to staying yet I was still charged again on my credit card after departing motel and after many phone calls and two days after have yet to have my credit card reimbursed for their double up charge. Not happy at all from getting no response . Would not stay here again just on principle as they have not handled this at all professionally.

The room was refurbished and the bed and linen were of a good standard. The provided toiletries were good quality. The tea, coffee & biscuits were known brands - Lipton's, Nescafé, and Kookas. The room temperature in April was perfect without any cooling or heating required. All the staff were helpful. The indoor pool was a pleasant temperature. Ample on-site parking. Easy walking distance to town centre and to Swan Hill Heritage Park and the river. Chargeback from local restaurants was available and we used this. Onsite buffet breakfast was available at a reasonable rate, but we didn't try it. Plenty of on-site activities. For example, games room, mini-golf, tennis 1/2 court. I expect the outdoor pool, spa, gardens and BBQ would get a lot of use in the warmer months and even the cooler months for hardier people. We got a very good discount through Booking.com, which made this very good value considering the standard of amenities and breadth of facilities. For people with mobility issues, you may wish to ask for a downstairs unit and a separate shower, not one over a spa bath. The building has 2 stories and external stairs.

Maybe I missed the fine print, but I'd like to know daily room service is not provided, before making a 4-night booking. That said, it was not a problem. The staff were always happy to provide whatever we asked for, including fresh towels and equipment to wash our crockery. (I suspect they would have provided fresh crockery if I'd asked for that instead.) Some "resort facilities" were old, but adequate. For example, the sauna was warmer than room temperature but not hot - maybe for safety reasons with children around? The gym equipment was old but good variety. One billiard cue was newly broken (probably that day and by a guest!). Wifi was quite slow. We used our own mobile data instead.

The room was quite spacious given that there was a queen and 2 single beds. Kettle, Toaster, Fridge and simple cutlery and crockery was there to use. The amenities were great! My daughter enjoyed the games rooms area and mini golf. There was also the option of using the indoor or outdoor pool. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and had great variety. Close enough to walk to the main street with shops and food outlets.

The lighting in the room was minimal, and was very dark over the table where we were able to sit and have food. It would have been better if there was a microwave available in the room.

Probably a bit too much traffic noise for some as the front rooms are next to the main transport route, however those who sleep like logs would not be worried by it Possibly rooms to the rear may help with light sleepers

One of your female receptionist was extremely helpful, lovely and good PR. .

I felt the younger girl was a square peg in a round hole and would have better severed the resort in back of house. She had little to no PR skills, and helpful at all. I'd like fitting curtian so that the street light didn't come through bother ends.

The resort was a great family oriented place the facilities were as advertised & very clean. The BBQ area was the gathering place for our group of 10 it was ideal for us.The indoor pool & games room were great on cool days as well as a meeting place for the group to set out the day-to-day adventures with the Pioneer Settlement just around the corner & the lakes nearby to explore. Fishing was made easy with the Murray river being around the corner from the resort as well.

The fact that there was no designated car parking for your room allocation first in best dress wasn't good enough especially when it was raining

Cost of breakfast was way too high for what was provided - self-service continental breakfast. We went across the road and got a better breakfast for less money.

Great location, walking distance to town and swan hill pioneer settlement and very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was very comfy and clean with a newly refurbished bathroom. The use of all resort facilities, (pool. 8 ball, mini golf, table tennis) was all free.

The exterior steps and walls are looking fairly tired and could do with a good clean and paint.
