Carnarvon Motel

We are repeat customers, and choose to stay at the Carnarvon Motel every time we're calling through Carnarvon. A very secure premises with gated carpark and electronic keys to the rooms, we love this as always have a car and trailer full of things as we're usually on a roadtrip. The room was a large family room, extremely clean and fresh. The pool was also sparkling clean, and the kids had a fantastic time using the waterslide and playground. Our meal in the restaurant was great, the buffet was refreshed and constantly topped up, and the waitstaff were attentive.

I can't fault the Carnarvon Motel, it is the cleanest place I've ever stayed, and that includes large chain hotels in Perth City. The water pressure is fantastic and the staff are accommodating.

Everything in the room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle were very handy for preparing hot drinks at night and breakfast in the morning for a quick getaway for our next long drive. This is a gated property after 8pm so we had no worries about the safety of our vehicle or its contents.

We stayed in Room 25 a few nights before and had the use of a large Smart TV. This time we were in Room 28, which sadly only had a small TV that wasn't a Smart TV, which meant we couldn't log into our PrimeVideo and continue watching our favourite show, as we had in Room 25. So, we enjoyed the Edinburgh Military Tattoo show instead, which was good. Really this was the only fault of this room, otherwise it was superb. We'll always stay here in future on our trips.

Bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the room and bathroom were spacious. We love that this property is gated after 8pm so we weren't worried at all about the security of our vehicle. We've paid more to stay at another Carnvarvon property before and were worried all night about our vehicle and contents as itinerant people were wandering and looking into cars at night. We didn't have this problem with Carnarvon Motel, so we could relax and sleep well. Loved that our room had a large Smart TV so we could log into our PrimeVideo and continue watching our favourite show whilst on holidays.

Super friendly staff at check in and were very helpful in conveying information about the motel and the town. The room was a family sized room with 2 queens sized beds in there. The overall cleanliness of the room was great. Very secure complex with locked up gating around the premises and security cameras always recording, which was great, because people had caravans, boats and trailers parked up under lights at the rear of the motel, fully secured. Good location, very close to central of town (Carnarvon).

Nothing really...I would stay here again.

I found checking in was quick, efficient and informative. Opened the room, it was very spacious and beds were very comfortable Bar prices were very reasonable Nice n quiet area and very friendly staff Highly recommend 👌

3rd night we found the beds not made properly, very minor issue though. Not worth worrying about Not sure if there was a folder with maps and places of interest in the rooms however that would be good.

Our stay at Carnarvon Motel was amazing as soon as we walked through the door to check in. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I asked the wonderful house keeping staff where the laundry was and they went out of their way to walk me directly to it, bonus was the washing machines and dryer had a card option rather than just cash. We stayed in a family room which was perfect, with single beds in the main part and queen bed just behind it in a seperate section. The bed sheets were soft and very comfortable, room very clean. We had dinner at the motel restaurant, wow! I was pleasantly surprised to see a CLEAN high chair for my 10 month old daughter and it was a padded high chair. We’ve travelled Australia and it was the first high chair that wasn’t filthy dirty. Absolutely amazing hot plate steak, and buffet sides (salads, veg, kids meal) ready to eat and very fresh, delicious. Great arcade games to keep older kids entertained. Loved our stay so much! Bonus was we had plenty of parking for our camping trailer, in a secure fenced parking area.

The motel is located in a convenient spot in town, close to woolworths, and has a front gate which locks at 8pm. We were given a room key with a gate fob and the key drop check-out and room service was explained. The room itself is standard for a motel however met our needs and was very clean. The linen and towels were fresh and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We ordered room service dinner (steak, chips and salad and fish and chips) and it arrived quickly, the steak was cooked perfectly as ordered, and the fish was delicious - portions were large.

We received wooden disposable cutlery with our room service dinner rather than receiving proper cutlery. It's a personal preference but I hate wooden cutlery!! There was also a single plastic teaspoon with the tea and coffee set rather than metal which to me is strange if you're going to have proper glasses and mugs in the rooms.

The motel is old but the standard of cleanliness is of a high standard The bed and bedding were clean and very comfortable The room was quite large with 2 other single beds available The Motel has a buffet evening meal which was amazing, the quality of the food and the freshness were remarkable. The Hot Rocks are a 'must' as you get the buffet as well for $5

The noise is a bit of an issue due to being a Motel with residents either arriving late or leaving early. It was difficult to pick faults other than it is difficult to get a booking as it is full all the time (a good indicator really)

This motel was such a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Though the motel was older and slightly dated it was really tidy and fairly well maintained. We like the additional security of the locked gate at the front of the motel at night time and the close proximity to town. There is an EXCELLENT little coffee spot down by the water (6701 Waterfront Cafe do amazing coffee and only 2 mins from the motel)

It wouldn’t take much to bring this place up to date, just a little bit at a time.

Beds were very comfortable and linen was clean.

House keeping, no cleaning was done the four days I stayed there. I had to ask housekeeping staff to clean and mop my room. I was told that cleaning wasn't on their schedule. Communication with the housekeeping staff was a bit challenging due to them not having good command of English language.
