Sanma Hotel

The grounds of this hotel is beautiful; the continental breakfast was delicious and filling; the staff is extremely well trained and very polite. We arrived at 8AM, and while check in was not until after 2PM, we were invited to have breakfast and offered our room immediately after enjoying a great selection of fruits, meats, and pastries. Pushing our luck, I decided to ask for a late checkout as our flight was not until 6PM. Fernanda, who by the way is an amazing host, simply replied saying it was not a problem and switched our check out to 5PM.

While the hotel is in a perfect location for visiting both Parque das Aves and the Brazilian side of the falls, the hotel is a bit distant from downtown. Unless one has a car, one can get pretty isolated at the hotel; I am not sure this is really an issue of the hotel, but thought it was worth mentioning it.

The people were absolutely wonderful! great programs! great food and drinks!

The corridors are noisy, with poor soundproofing - you can ear / be woken up by people talking in the corridor. The dinner took 40mn from order to service; same in the bar....

It’s a resort! Great layout overall. Set back from the road and secured by a fence. Spacious and welcoming entrance and lobby, with adjoining bar and restaurant! Large pool in the back, surrounded by a walled-in wast lawn with palm trees.

Absolutely nothing!

Beautiful Hotel, great architecture, extremely well maintained. Staff wonderful. Food excellent. Rooms adequately sized but not big. Spectacular ambiance all around. Very near airport and entrance to Falls.

That we had to leave.

All the staff was the best! They wanted to please us and make our stay memorable.They were very attentive, friendly, professional and excelled in customer satisfaction. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation of fresh fruits, juices, breads, sweets, coffee, etc exceeded our expectations. There was so much variety and abundance. We loved the beautiful hotel facilities and grounds. Every area was well decorated and spotless. The rooms were so comfy too. It was serene and in the midst of natural beauty. The location was the superb...could walk to the Falls and Bird Park.

There was nothing negative to state.

It felt like a boutique hotel with limited rooms but plenty of space. Pool was ample size for the volume of guests even though we were in high season as during the day most people are at the falls or doing excursions of some type. It’s location was perfect and we only had a 5 min walk to the bird park and 10 to the entrance of the falls on the Brazilian side. The bar menu and snacks were great and the hotel was very good value for money with friendly people and plenty to keep you entertained inc a decent gym and games room

Two things that weren’t deal breakers but were a little disappointing. 1. The rooms were pretty small and the window for our room was small and looked at an atrium. It didn’t let in much light and you could see another rooms window from our side. Our children’s stayed on the opposite side of the hotel and looked out on to the gardens. 2. The food choices were pretty limited. You had the bar menu which you could also have at night in the restaurant and then a restaurant menu with limited options and especially for vegetarians. A little more choice or maybe a different menu throughout the week and that would solve the problem. We were only there for 4 days so it was t that big a deal for us

Great location for visiting Iguazu falls,only five minutes walk to the Brazilian side and a taxi ride away from the Argentinian side. The hotel’s lovely staff made us feel very welcome. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, table service one day then a buffet breakfast next day. The pool area was lovely and both the pool bar and the indoor one served fabulous cocktails. We enjoyed the live piano music in the bar each evening, and the buffet evening meal in the main restaurant was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The location is perfect! Only a 6 minute walk to the entrance to Iguaçu Falls. And it’s next door to the bird sanctuary. The staff, especially Fernanda, are exceptional. She helped me arrange a day trip to Paraguay, transport to the Argentina side, and gave great tips and information to get the most out of your visit to the falls. The food was great, as well as the WiFi. And the chocolate and water bottle delivered to your room every evening are such a nice touch. Thank you Fernanda and everyone at Sanma for an amazing visit!

Nothing. Everything was great!

This is a high end hotel perfectly located within 10 minutes walk of the Iguacu Falls entrance. We arrived late at night and we’re welcomed warmly with an offer of a glass of fizz or soft drink. We were only there for a day and asked for advice about the following day. The concierge (big shout out to Cristiano) recommended we do the Brazilian side only including a walk and boat ride and we had a spectacular day, returning mid afternoon to relax by the pool. There is a really nice pool area and bar. We were leaving at 5am the following morning and Cristiano offered to have a breakfast package waiting for us. so we had coffee and tea, pastries and fruit ready for us to take away in the morning. fantastic service.

The only slight negative was the evening meal was rather underwhelming. we were tired and didn’t want to go out but there are places nearby and Cristiano had recommended a couple of places. so if you stay go out to dinner
