The front desk services were very polite and helpful! Also we like the breakfast varieties, especially the fresh yummy pastries.

The double-bed room had very limited spaces. Also the foods in on-site restaurant were very expensive. Besides, we had to drive for about 1hr 15min one way to Hinton in order to refill the gas, because the nearby Jasper town were mostly closed due to recent wildfire and power outage.

Loved the cabins, heating was good and the beds were comfortable. And they provided a kettle (for the all important morning cuppa tea). We ate in the restaurant twice and had four different excellent meals, chef definitely knows how to cook. The restaurant has character and a lovely log fire. It was only 35 mins drive out of Jasper. And a five min walk to Sunwapta Falls. And the staff were very helpful and friendly and happy to offer suggestions on where to go and what to see.

Nothing really to complain about. The continental breakfast is basic but the croissants and pastries were lovely and fresh daily. If you prefer muesli and yoghurt just bring your own (there is a fridge in the room). Wifi is available but is sometimes weak but enough to send the odd message if you need to. You can sometimes hear neighbours in the adjoining cabin moving around but if they respect the quiet time curfew it isn’t an issue.

Location was amazing, only a ten minute walk to Sunwapta Falls which was beautiful, lots of other awesome places to visit within an hours drive up or down the Icefield road. The lodge cabin was basic, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, didn't go to the restaurant for dinner. There also was a lovely wee gift shop. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would stay at this place again if I wanted to explore more of Jasper National Park.

The only thing I could complain about is the WiFi was poor, but I wasn't there to sit on phone, so that didn't bother me. They emailed to warn about poor phone signal and WiFi. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but your less than an hour to Jasper town with lots of choices for lunch or dinner.

AMAZING place!!!! The room had the most lovely fireplace, and there were complimentary fire kits in the lodge! The staff were so very friendly, especially the ladies at the reception desk (Amelia?) and Franzi in the shop. El, in the restaurant was also super helpful. The food was delicious (salmon, trout, and steak) and the included hot breakfast was so nice! The shop had some TRULY beautiful items and gifts, and we purchased some lovely treasures! The brief walk to the falls was GORGEOUS, and the hiking around the falls was INCREDIBLE!!!! We absolutely loved our experience here and will be back!!!

It was all wonderful!!!!!

I stayed at Sunwapta Falls during my last visit to Canada 9 years ago and at the time I was slightly underwhelmed by the property as the rooms needed a bit of TLC. The rooms have however clearly had an uplift since then, as they were newly furnished and had a fresh, modern look. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. A continental breakfast was included in the price of the room, and the range of foods on offer was plentiful and exceeded my expectations - it even included porridge and scrambled eggs! We had dinner there on the evening we arrived and the food was absolutely delicious (if slightly pricey). The location was perfect - it was right off the Icefields Parkway and yet the property had a secluded and remote feel, and the Sunwapta waterfalls were only a few minutes' walk away.

Although the room we stayed in was newly furnished, the bathroom had not yet been updated - the fixtures were outdated and there was wallpaper on the walls which was showing signs of mould in the corner. In addition, the soundproofing between adjoining bungalows was very poor and we could hear the water running when the guests next door were taking showers. The pipes emitted a loud rattling sound from time to time. However I would stress that these were all minor points and that on the whole our stay was lovely, and I would happily stay here again.

It was very accessible, right on the main highway 93. Although you didn’t hear traffic noise. Restaurant food was good, staff were really lovely and always on hand to help. Very relaxed atmosphere.

You could sometimes hear noise from your attached bungalow, we had problems on several occasions with screaming children at night, in the end I did go to reception and they gave me the option to move straight away to another bungalow which we did. I should have done this the first night. Excellent customer service. Prices of food and drink were expensive although I think that is the norm for the rockies in general.

The location was amazing so close to the falls with a view of the mountains. Wow! The cabins looked so cozy from the outside. Would have lived to stay longer. The staff was sooooo friendly and helpful. Brianna was helping in March for activities like paddle board on Edith lake, hiking at the falls and swimming at at Horseshoe. Loved our activities. Alexia checked us in with a huge smile and helped us out with a fire kit for our beautiful stone fire place. She also gave us several recommendations. We were there for two days and always helped with a smile or enquiring about our adventures . Thanks to the whole team. If we come back out to the Rockies I will definitely book here again. I prefer to stay away from the cities.

Clean, comfortable lodgings in an amazing location-surrounded by woods but bang opposite the highway, and 7 minutes walk from the famous Sunwapta waterfalls - could not be situated any better. It felt idyllic, living in the lap of Nature, and yet with most mod cons. The area between the log cabin was nicely lit up at night with chains of bulbs- which looked pretty, made the area feel safe, and yet did not shine too brightly into the windows. The bathroom was clean and fairly spacious, there were enough towels(and these were soft and fluffy), and the shower had a suprisingly good pressure. There were facilities to light a wooden fire in the room, as well as a table fan- we needed to use the latter. I travelled with family and had asked for mine and my sister's rooms to be close together- the resort did very well in giving us 2 rooms with a connecting door- it was perfect for our group! Last but certainly not the least - the amazing cherry on the cake was being able to sight a black bear from the window of our room(which faced the woods)- who just happened to amble by!!! I suppose the management cannot exactly take credit for this- but for me this was an incredible bonus.

The restaurant was good, we had one dinner and every dish we tried was tasty and well-cooked, but the prices seemed a little on the higher side. The sandwiches and chili we had for lunch were very good, too, but priced more reasonably. The breakfast was adequate but not very interesting- the only cooked items were scrambled eggs and hash browns-perhaps the addition of bacon/sausages, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms would improve it a lot.

This review is part of a big road trip we planned around British Columbia and Alberta – flying in from Australia and renting a car, for the trip of our lifetime so far. We put a huge amount of time, energy and expense in planning the whole trip. As Aussies, we just want to say Canada is amazing. Just beautiful. It was worth every bit of planning and expense we put it into for so very long. Be proud Canada – what a beautiful place you live in! So, in that context, here is this review: The staff at Sunwapta were just amazing - so incredibly friendly and helpful. We just loved them. The location is stunning! The room was very clean and comfortable. And the restaurant was fabulous - both for the breakfast (inclusive) and for dinner. We stayed here as a two night stay on the leg of our trip between Jasper and Banff/Canmore. And we highly recommend this as a "must stay" on the Icefield Parkway!

Nothing to not like.

The best stay in our Canada trip, and it was all thanks to the amazing staff. The room is great, the restaurant is delicious, but the staff are the nicest people we met here in Canada. Everyone were super helpful and truly interested and dedicated towards making our trip to Jasper unique. Martin, the restaurant's manager, was simply amazing. We asked him about wildlife spotting areas and he took out a map and drew the best wildlife spotting areas on it. We also asked him about the northern lights, and he told us the best night to go see them and where, gave us his tripod and we got to see it! This place is amazing, stay here to meet awesome people!
