I stayed here 10 years ago..was....meh. New owners definitely care about their property and their customers and appear to be doing constant maintenance and improvements. Super friendly and clean. Garden and greenhouse for guests is a nice touch as it reflects the values of the community of Creston in general. Best accommodations in the area. I've stayed in all of them and this is the best.

Happy with everything.

The host was fantastic. We had an itinerary mix up and arrived a day early for our one day layover. They had an opening and let us change with ABSOLUTELY no hassle!! They even upgraded us at no charge. Room #23 was an individual cabin above another and was very clean and well laid out. Kitchenette would have been perfect if we had been staying longer. They offered a large free selection of teas and free run of a rather extensive home garden where you could pick fresh fruit and vegetables. The room had a front porch that was perfect to sit out and view the surrounding valley. Wifi was excellent. For mealtime, would highly recommend Jimmy's in the Creston Hotel. They have a large selection of menu items and are excellently priced with excellent sized portions.

beautiful garden to sit and enjoy the view of the valley! updated rooms were a very nice surprise. we entered through the north side of the property and almost turned around without staying, as they are in the middle of what appeared to be a variety of landscaping and renovation projects - quite unsightly. we later found the south entrance which gave a much better impression.

As above, the first impression coming in through the north entrance (as directed by Google Maps) did not give us a good first impression. Also, the main office leaves a lot to be desired.

This motel is a collection of cabins and ours was a duplex unit. It had two queen beds and the room was still spacious even with a table and two chairs near the front window. Excellent view over the flatlands and the valley. Everything was clean and well laid out and beds were very comfy.

It was winter and there had been a sizable snowfall which caused the roads on the property to be fairly narrow. I have a full size truck which meant navigating these had to be done with extra care and attention. Parking was also snug under these circumstances. The good news is they had recently upgraded the roads with new asphalt surfaces.

Tea and water were both offered to me when I checked in (which was incredibly thoughtful and welcome, as I was road-tired and parched), then - as it was night and difficult to figure out which cabin was mine, Gill said she'd walk over and turn on the light, and directed me where to park my car, then waited to make sure I was in safely and had everything I needed. Her genuine warmth and hospitality far exceeded my expectations and were deeply appreciated. The room was spacious, immaculate, and very comfortable. I also liked the blue recycling bin and information on what could be recycled. It's pretty clear that Gill and her husband put a lot of thought and care into what they offer, likely drawing upon their own travel experiences and making sure that they run the kind of place they'd be happy to stay in.

The only thing I would suggest is adding a nightlight to the bathroom. I travel with one, because so many places don't have that feature, but it sure is appreciated when it's there.

What a lovely spot. Calming. Easy to find upon drive into Creston Exceptionally clean, large room. Private wifi for the duplex type cottage I was in. Chocolates on the bed. Fresh flowers in the room. A selection of dishes and kitchen supplies for simple meals. Tea kettle, coffee press, toaster in addition to microwave and fridge. A motion sensor nightlight in the bathroom. Balcony. View. Reasonable pricing. Charming young couple as hosts.

Gill was welcoming on my arrival, warm, generous and kind throughout my 4 night stay. The new fridge and microwave enabled me to keep groceries purchased nearby. There are several places for breakfast within easy driving distance. I bought a fabulous wrap at the Buffalo Trails Coffee House to reheat for breakfast with the coffee provided in my room. Netflix was provided free.

Nothing to dislike.

Newly renovated room with very comfy beds. Lots of great extras for a family stay - basketball court, games to borrow, badminton set, fire pit, BBQ etc. Lots of great extras that we really enjoyed. They also happily arranged a late check out for us which was greatly appreciated.

Once they finish the landscaping this Spring the outside areas will live up to the newly renovated rooms. They're obviously working hard to get that done.

Absolutely wonderful place. The person we dealt with was so kind and accommodating, and I’ve stayed in much more expensive rooms that didn’t have half of the little things in them (what hotel room has a toaster in it haha). Such a great place to stay and I’ll be back anytime I’m in the area.

Nothing! So impressed with this cute little place.
