Woodhouse Cottages And Ranch

Our satnav took us a round about way to arrive at the property and it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere so when we arrived to the warmest of welcomes from the owner we were immediatley reassured. The cottage had everything we needed and it was great to meet the horses and dogs (even though I'm allergic to both they were irrestibly friendly!). We also loved the humming bird feeder. A little bit out of Prince George but easy enough to get there and back and such a comfortable place to stay and enjoy the ranch atmosphere.

Internal layout a little awkward - bumped into the glass coffee table a couple of times until I put a supermarket bag in front of it to remind me and tripped over the stove hearth a couple of times - worth bearing in mind with children/older visitors? But that's being picky - it was genuinely a pleasure to stay there.

Maureen greeted us with her two friendly St. Bernard’s. we enjoyed a private cabin, complete with dry pine for firewood, for the wood stove. the horses came to the fence 10 feet from our window & we happily fed them carrots (supplied, because the hosts KNOW everyone loves feeding horses, right?!) and we were greeted with fresh hime made cinnamon buns cooked minutes previously, in the morning… as we rocked our chairs on the deck, enjoying the sunrise. best value, period. premium experience. p privacy fostered in old fashioned friendly service before self approach to hosting guests. 10 out of 10 recommended. ~ IF you don’t NEED to wake up IN the town of Prince George, then definitely save your money and enhance you’re lifestyle in an experience that resonates, still! Maureen? thank YOU! Greg & Amy oh? & the hummingbird feeder was spot on, as we had constant guests near porch/ kitchen windows :)

What a beautiful place this is! The cabin has absolutely everything you need and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the perfect stay at the cabin. Freshly baked cinnamon buns, personalized welcome sign, hot tub basket, fruit bowl, treats, bowls and bed for the dogs, carrotts to feed to the horses. There was nothing missing. We will be back for sure.

Everything was perfect!

Maureen was exceptionally professional, pleasant, and a great host. The animals there were very calm and peaceful. The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable. My father had a very good nights rest, so did I and my sister. Very memorable stay for the three of us. We drove 10-11hours from South BC (Vancouver BC) up North to Prince George to look at the area. Scenic view. Just keep in mind there are no lights at night so do bring a flashlight if you need to get around in the farm. The day is short during Fall and Winter seasons. I hope others may find this place as peaceful and memorable as we did. Thank you for the awesome experience!

everything it is an exquisite property in the middle of the nature the owner is delightful we arrive quite late due to snow storm the access road was accessible the patio was without snow ( ps there was more than 1m snow during the day ‘ we had the pleasure of having fresh cinnamon buns the house was impeccable we sleep all night after seeing the dance of the Northen Lights and at morning we were greater by two horses a delight i will be back definitely as i found a new friend in Maureen

This was another restful stay at this lovely location. As before, cabin is spotless, cosy and a pleasure to visit. Sweet Nora the dog came with us again on dog walks! Had a great stay. Everything was perfect and Maureen is a kind and welcoming host.

There are no real negatives at all and we do look forward to staying here again in the future. We don’t have data and both struggled a bit to get wifi in the cabin (but it has very thick walls/solid construction); elsewhere on the property it was absolutely fine (e.g. messages would come through as we walked our dog around the property). We are not ordinarily worried about connecting- but had a birthday Skype with family planned while we were there. Connected fine in the lovely yard around the cabin, so all was good.

The host and hostess were very kind and attentive to our needs. We were able to participate in livestock feedings and tour the ranch feeling part of their daily routine. Their dog was a joy, so gentle and played well with our pup. The horses were a highlight, coming to greet us each morning. Carrots and apples were supplied so we could feed them if we wanted, and we did. Finding freshly baked cinnamon buns to enjoy with our tea was a definite surprise. We loved our time here. The peaceful lovely setting was exactly what we needed!

Everything was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, everything was sparkling clean. We could see 360 degree of the sky from our cottage. Our host, Maureen was very nice and welcoming. She pays attention to every detail and with a big heart, she has prepared a personalized welcoming note for us. She also made delicious cinnamon buns for every guest. We got the chance of feeding and grooming the horses, took a nice walk in the ranch, and carriage riding (with a cost). Her dog, Nora was super friendly and cute, we miss her already. Thank you Maureen for everything you did for us.

It was a little slice of heaven ! We had an amazing one night stay in the Corral cottage and we wish we could stay for longer. The cottage is set up beautiful and is so peaceful. Maureen and Kevin were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We are already planning our 10 year wedding anniversary to come back to this amazing place.

the owners Maureen & Kevin were great hosts, friendly, made sure we had a wonderful stay, they even provided fresh fruit, pastries, even a personalized laminate welcome photo of ranch with our names on, very nice touch!!! highly recommend this ranch to anyone, our dog Boomer loved playing with Nora their own dog too.
