Ocean Crest Motel

Staff found someone to trade with so I could have a ground floor room as I walk with a cane. The other guests seemed happy to move to the 2nd floor walk-up which had a better view and they were ok with stairs. Loved the msuve lamp that was colour coordinated with the curtains. Someone put some thought into this.

Bathtub could use a grab bar for safety and for some reason there was no soap dish or shelf for shampoo in the shower/tub area, only next to the toilet. Coffee maker was appreciated but would have liked long-life milk or powdered cream substitute to go with it.

It was extremely clean and renovation made it fresh. Perfect place to rest your head. The lady in the office, was welcoming and so sweet. Loved the little kitchen set up they had available. Bed was very comfortable. Nice size TV, coffee maker was great for morning coffee. Air conditioning worked well. Our car was parked outside of our room. Walking distance to beach and little beach side restaurants. City centre was a 5 minute drive away. We felt safe and it was so wonderfully quiet.

Nothing, it worked perfectly for my husband and I.

I was upgraded to a king bed room instead of a two bed room at no extra cost. there was a well supplied little kitchen area. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The shower was excellent for me with a safety mat and easy use to turn on. I am 85 years old. The staff were helpful and very friendly.

Nothing could have been better for me. The location was fine for access to Qualicum where I was visiing a sick family member. Nice view of the ocean which was just across the road. No elevator - just outside stairs with good treads so no problem for me. Maybe there was an elevator? I did not ask.

The staff were very friendly and our room was ready a little bit early. It was perfect for our needs. I was travelling with my adult son. The space was great for the two of us. The beds and the pillows were comfortable.

The only thing that we had a little chuckle over was that the light switch to the bathroom is not where you would expect it to be and we had to go looking for it.

We really appreciated the staff coming in while we were out and replenishing the towels, shampoo/conditioner bottles, making our beds (they did it without us asking)

The only thing I would fix is the tub plug- it was difficult to run a bath and keep the water full; otherwise, the location, room( comfortable and clean and good value for the money) was very satisfactory.

I love this little old-school motel in Qualicum Beach, I've stayed here a couple of times. It's one of the last ones on the west end of the "strip", so a car is helpful, but you can walk down to the beach quite easily (note you do have to cross the road to do so). Our stay was amazingly quiet and the air conditioner in the room worked incredibly well. I think the bathrooms have been recently remodeled; rooms were scrupulously clean and the fridge in the room was a great size. The little coffee makers in the room are a lovely touch. They also have a nice patio area if you want to have a picnic lunch or play a board game with the family.

Honestly, nothing. It's obviously not a 5-star resort - no pool, hot tub, etc. - but it's small and quiet.

Perfect location. Lovely little carpeted bay windows for reading if desired. Patio was a super outdoor social option. Comfie beds, very clean. Super daily cleaning service.

Took 7 minutes to pop half a bag of microwave popcorn. Parking lot set up when full is a little difficult to manuever for larger vehicle.

Was quieter from guests then some other motels I have stayed at. I have bad back and need office support but some softness also. I had great sleep. Very clean and Kurieg coffee maker with supplied fresh creamers(bonus). Very friendly reception at office check in. Good price in comparison to others.

Beds were so comfy and everything was so clean and fresh! The location was fantastic! Walking distance to some great little sights and restaurants. Owners so kind and helpful. We loved it here and wish we stayed longer. Thanks!

Motel room was very clean and felt very fresh and updated. The motel had a very cute area with a few picnic tables. Staff were very friendly and the area felt safe and was close to a lot of things we wanted to see.
