Churchill Hotel

I was able to check out the other hotels during my stay and hands down I’ll stay at Churchill Hotel again. It’s clean, comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced, and they have a good breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon, oatmeal, muffins, cereal, juices, milk, coffee) that’s included. Our train got in an hour and a half early and Koral was there to pick us up and John got all of us in our rooms early, which was great. The first thing you want to do when you get off the train is take a shower! Haha! It’s in a good location, but really you can get to anywhere in Churchill in 10 minutes or less. For example, when we left our room to go wade in the Hudson Bay (so many beluga whales!) it was approximately 10 minutes and you’re going from one side of town to the other. Just a word of caution, pay attention and don’t go in the areas that have danger signs posted. We did see a mama polar bear and her cub (this was bear #3 & #4) walking along the shoreline- it was spectacular but we felt safe because we didn’t go hike among the rocks- I’m just saying the signs are there for a reason. John is a Churchillian (born & raised) and Koral has resided in Churchill for 25 yrs- I wish I had more time there to pick her brain, she has traveled the world. Koral was so informative, I would HIGHLY recommend to take her tour also- she really takes her time and explains everything from the history of Churchill to the fauna that grows there. The tour generally takes 4-4.5 hrs, we were out for 5 hours because we saw a mama polar bear and her cub! I got to check so many things off my list from going on that tour (Miss Piggy, Ithaca, Science Center, polar bear holding facility, and ultimately getting to see two polar bears!)

Nothing, everything was great! Being a teacher, however I always feel like I should make helpful suggestions, a hot tub perhaps? Ha!

The hotel is neat, comfortable & located right opposite a supermarket (in Churchill, you will need it, believe me). Ms.Koral, the owner, is extremely helpful & friendly...she even picked us up & dropped us back at the airport

If you are travelling to Churchill during summer, carry tons of bug repellant spray - the mosquitoes here are something else! (This is not related to the hotel - inside its fine. But the moment you step out.....)

The room was perfect for our needs and we really appreciated having the fridge to store food etc. as we didn't want to have to eat out all the time. The bed was a good size particularly as my partner is very tall. The room was spacious and we had plenty of room to spread out during our stay. We also really appreciated the laundry facilities. The staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. Not that Churchill is very big, but the hotel is extremely well located and close to a supermarket and to the Sea North office and the Tundra bar/restaurant, all of which we used quite a bit. A really nice touch was that John picked us up from the train station when we arrived and took us for a little orientation tour around town before dropping us off at the hotel. Finally I would say that this hotel offers great value for money in a town that is not particularly cheap.

I don't think there was anything that we didn't like. I think the Churchill hotel is a great place to stay.

reasonable price for the location. rooms a decent size with fridge and microwave. clean, and the cleaner was great and friendly. the hotel isn’t posh but you don’t travel to Churchill to sit in your hotel room!! beds are clean and comfy which is all you need. the main reason we rate this place so highly is the staff. they couldn’t do more to help you. Koral is an incredible host and guide and made our stay all the more special. she even took collected us from and took us to the airport. would absolutely stay here again and would recommend.

The location is extremely convenient, right across from the general store and a restaurant. The owner picked us up at the airport and drove us back when we left. The temperature indoors was perfect and laundry machines were available. The room was clean and comfortable and had a fridge so we could store groceries and eat meals in when we wanted to.

Big comfortable bed, adjustable room temperature, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant on site, and nice quality toiletries. It's also an excellent location for walking from the railway station and accessing town activities, as well as being opposite the supermarket.

The owners and staff were great! Because of train issues, we were stuck in Churchill for a couple extra days. The owners found us a room for the extra two nights and couldn't do more to make sure we were looked after. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking to everything.

The only complaint we have is that the restaurant isn't open for lunch but there are lunch options within easy walking distance,

A great place to stay, ideally situated close to the railway station and the centre of town. Friendly staff; we were met at the station by Koral, the owner, and given an orientation tour of the town before being taken to the hotel.

All good. We appreciated being able to use the lounge on our last day after checking out.

The staff were amazing, met me at the train station and gave me a free tour of the town before my check in. Kept in touch during my stay, gave some tips of things to do and places to see, and allowed me to stay in the room past check in until my train was leaving later in the evening. Ideal location, very clean and comfortable, would recommend to anyone.

Breakfast was continental or cooked included in the price. Great homemade lasagne was on the menu too. Koral was an exceptional host and worker.

Room a little noisy due to quads driving around a lot but that's earplugs are for.
