St Christopher's Hotel

It was convenient to the ferry terminal and easy to find. The inhouse restaurant had a good menu and it saved us going out to find anywhere else. Staff were friendly. Room was very clean and a good size. It had everything you might want including an iron & ironing board. Some places we have stayed at have had the iron but not the board??? We were on the ground floor and there is a lift if you are higher. If not for prior arrangements we would have stayed longer.

Very close proximity to the ferry, easy to find! Wonderful view of Port Aux Basques harbour! All the reception, cleaning, restaurant staff were very friendly, accommodating and excellent at their jobs!(never got flustered even when understaffed and/or swamped with a “rush” of customers arrived off the ferry! Our room on the first night we stayed (Sept 8) was a bit tiny but still clean and comfy Great food in the restaurant-so convenient for early ferry!

Great location for the ferry terminal. A good sized hotel so fairly easy to get a booking. The meal in the evening was very good and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and everything "worked"

St Christopher Hotel I guess was once a modern and well equipped hotel. However, it is now in need of some TLC. It is starting to look and feel a little tacky. With the large number of rooms available this may be a challenge for the owners.

Room was great . When we arrived it was 6:30 pm so we went to have supper at motel ,our waitress seemed not to be happy to be there but food was good. We left and decided to go back in morning for breakfast and what an amazing experience and the mature woman really made you feel welcomed and the service was 10 out 0f 10 .

We had arrived 20 mins the second evening before cafe was to close ,all my husband wanted was toast to come to room and they could not do it as they were closing soon. I had been fighting a migraine all day and just needed a piece of toast .

Very convenient place to stay with the motorcycles having just got off the 7pm ferry. Great nights sleep before heading off the next day.

A dirty face towel was left in our shower, I didn't say anything as there seemed to be a shortage of staff and those that were there, were rushed off their feet looking after everything else.

Room had a great view of the harbour. Could watch the ferries coming in. Dinner in restaurant was good even though water issues. Rooms were clean and comfy. Town had water main break. Water came on just before we arrived. Gave bottled water to drink and gave info re water use. Staff did best with bad situation.

Everything was good.

Room was modern, spacious and clean. Check out clerk was personable and polite. View from the guest room was picturesque.

On arrival, difficult to enter the lobby because the person cleaning it objected by mumbling to herself. Check in process was more a credit and criminal record check. Perhaps the employee took her hospitality training in Toronto or New York, because I was not offered the usual genuine warm Newfoundland welcome.

The drunk man banging at our door several times. The staff didn't do anything. One member of the staff was smoking with the guy. 3 people were in the room next to our room. They make a lot of noise until 10.30 pm. Laughing. Slamming the doors. Banging the walls.

Close to the ferry, which was really convenient for us…

No menu for dining room provided in the room. Went to dining room to get one and they couldn’t find any photocopies at first and I wasn’t allowed to bring the actual menu to the room so we could decide what we wanted.

The hotel is just a five minute drive from the ferry. We enjoyed our food at the restaurant and a supermarket was also just a five minute drive. We liked it enough to book a return stay!

No continental breakfast but they DO serve breakfast. (We did not opt for that ...)
