Elmhurst Inn & Spa

Facial and massage were both amazing. Room service and restaurant meals were beyond expectations. Just amazing! The room was beautiful and clean. Antique look and original. I had the sparkling wine and cheese package and both were set up in my fridge for when I arrived with a little note and I was able to settle in and feel pampered right away. The dining room staff was so friendly for dinner. Amazing service throughout the entire stay. I couldn't believe how accommodating everyone was and will be back.

The weather really sucked that weekend. Couldn't explore the beautiful grounds.

I was very much enjoyed my stay the only negative was I purchased the Oxford cheese trail package on line and it indicated it was to include a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese tray but it was not provided. When I asked the front desk staff about it , I was told because I made my reservation through booking.com it was not included. No where in the reservation as far as I could See did it suggest that was the case. A little disappointing, it would of been a nice touch.

We truly enjoyed our stay there cannot believe such a hidden gem was so close. Only thing I would have like more it for the trails to be longer if possible. It was wonderful walking around and enjoying nature. I absolutely love the landscaping its what i aim for when im doing my place. We just thought it was beautiful just loved sitting down and enjoyed the view very tranquil. Love all the area for you to just go relax and enjoy yourself.

I cant think of anything really i didnt like only as stated wishbl longer trails but it can be bc property only extend to a certain distance but if it extend more would love a longer trail.

We stopped here because of an impending icestorm. We could'nt have found a better place. Friendly staff, excellent food, very comfortable beds a great show of consignment photographs and art work. A very elegant place. reminded us of places we used to go to in Yorkshire England that were of the same vintage.

Maybe we didn't find it but a small library with maybe a book swap would work well. Given the location we doubt we were the first stranded travellers.

Interesting old house with substantial grounds. Well located for those travelling to Stratford festival. Room was nicely furnished and well maintained.

Unfortunately location is next to a major highway though the noise is mostly unnoticeable indoors. Breakfast offerings are plentiful but the dining area is without warmth.

we liked the history of the building. we liked having a restaurant on the property and the meals were excellent. It was also close to the highway.

The outdoor activities were not available to enjoy the grounds in winter. There were no other indoor activities other than the spa. the spa was small and hard to find available times for a treatment if possible at all. You must travel around by vehicle to other communities to find things to do.

The breakfast was average. Maybe the hot foods could have been closer to the dining area and presentation improved. The breads were a good variety but so spread out on a large table. Waffle making was a good idea! We had dinner in dining room both nights and the food was good and service impeccable.

Nothing comes to mind. All in all a good experience.

The breakfast each morning was delicious, and very filling. The portions are so big, neither of us could finish, and we did not need much lunch. Supper each night also had large portions. Food is beautifully presented. All the staff were very friendly and quick to smile.

The coffee machine in the room never served up hot drinks. Always lukewarm.

So beautiful outside and inside. Such beautiful lawns and scenery and historic value.

I would love a more intricate map. We weren’t sure where the breakfast was or how to get to the exercise facility.

Breakfast was great, eveyone friendly which is good and helps with a smile on there face. Room was always clean which for me is the most important. Just loved the old look of the place and the beautiful gardens outside.
