The view was exceptional! Can’t get much more beautiful than that! Also liked that they accepted dogs. Having a fridge was nice for water Far enough off the highway to not hear the traffic Nice big property to give the dog a little stroll Owner was lovely and friendly Rooms were clean and welcoming Great having a variety store and Tim’s across the road

The bath tub drained water very slowly so by the time the shower was over the water was up to shins!! But nice water pressure. The heater randomly turned on and of about 30 times within a couple minutes but then would settle down. Happened middle of the night and woke us up! Some art on the walls would make it more comfy. As would a duvet but maybe the rooms for dogs didn’t have comforters so they wouldn’t get ruined. Would have been awesome if the restaurant was open but understand it was off season $20/night for the dog was a little costly. I thought it was an extra $20 for the stay The hair dryer in bathroom didn’t work

Well really, what's not to like about the place? It is conveniently located on Lake Huron, the water is only feet away from your room. We were traveling with our little dog and they have an entire wing dedicated to pets which is great. There is an on-site restaurant, wife and I had fish and chips, it was yummy. We had a few concerns about noise being close to the highway but our concerns proved to be baseless as all we heard was the waves lapping at the shore outside our window. Overall wife was very impressed and plans to stay there on the return trip with our granddaughter.

Overall we didn't have any complaints. The building is a bit older but well kept as are most Mom and Pop places. As usual I grumble about hard beds but that's standard for me in most hotels since I sleep on memory foam at home.

The view was amazing. The shower had excellent water pressure and heat. Close to town and quick drive to a beautiful hike near Wharncliff. The people in Thessalon are beyond friendly, and it was a perfect weekend away in a small town, just what we were looking for. In room thermostat control and the heater works well.

The beds were double size which for a couple to share, were a little small. We had hooed for a queen size bed. Not the most comfortable mattresses, they were hard and old. Sheets clean. One thin blanket per bed so we were able to put both on one bed for warmth. The towels were clean but small, not big enough to wrap up in while getting ready. We are not extraordinarily large people. The floor was old scratchy carpet, not hard wood as shown. One window has a gap on the seam so let's cold air in.

Breakfast was not included, but a Tim's donights literally across the street. Our host and staff were so friendly while serving up a delicious Indian meal. Canadian food available as well. Loved our stay.

It is not "all brand new" But that was not an issue. It was clean towels were lovely and we lived that we could have an evening meal without having to leave the surroundings.

Spotless, updated rooms with big windows that overlook the lake, outfillted with fridge and microwave. The beds were splendid - good support and comfy bedding. Top notch and underrated. Nice beach with tables, seating right around back, and dining a short distance away.

I'm not complaining as we brought our own eats. The restaurant serves lunch and supper. It's such a nice dining area with great view. Morning coffee / self serve continental breakfast would be nice, however, I can understand different priorities / demands due to location (Tim's accross the road, staffing concerns).

We chose this location for the view and amazing sunset. There are picnic tables and lawn chairs by the water. The room is starting to get dated, but overall, we gad a good night. Quiet and clean. I would come back here if on the area again.

Only one set of towels in our room, the owner said go see girls in the laundry and pointed to where it was lol!

Room request for pet free was fulfilled and upgraded to king size bed at no extra cost was very nice. Food in restaurant was excellent! Location was beautiful too. We will be back, thank you!

Some conveniences could use updating but we were there only one night so not a bother. Sorry to manager, we forgot to mention mini fridge was not working.

The location of property is amazing, the view from the room was outstanding. Rooms were clean and tidy. Customer service is good

The toilet bowl was placed too near to the wall so it was difficult for a person to sit properly, and felt washroom was small. If they could renovate to a modern style it will be worth

The location overlooking the water is beautiful! Even though its easy access & close to the highway, the rooms at the back feel secluded and quiet. There's a Tim Hortons and gas station across the road so its a great place for those travelling through. Our room wasn't updated but it was spacious, everything was operational and clean. We were greeted warmly & our dog was able to stay which was a bonus for us!

Super clean and fresh room, stunning view of the sunset right from our bed, beautiful big windows flood the room with Northern beauty. Pet friendly is important to us as our little dog is part of out family. They had the most wonderful dog walk area- with a little sand beach! Also with perfect view of the setting sun, with sun bleached drift wood logs to make yourself comfortable while you watch the sky transform. The crystal clear water and sand beach dotted with river stones was a playground for my 4 year old- and us and again having our dog be able to join us was special. The staff was most pleasant, we would stop there again any time! Very clean and most welcome after a long car trip. Plus- you park at your door and there's chairs out front so you can have a friendly chat with your new neighbour's if you wish.

Nothing- it was a wonderful Northern Ontario stop. At first I was bummed the restaurant was closed. However literally 2 minutes up the road was the best burger and fries! Recommended by Carolyn Bay.
