Alcan Motor Inn

I gave the location a high rating because of its convenience for travel on our road trip, not as a place to vacation. The rooms had extra touches, like tasteful bed coverings that made the stay nicer than we expected. Be sure to go to the gas station across the street for excellent food, baked goods, and an espresso bar. (Yes, for real)

We definitely could have used more ice than what we were allotted, and the check-in was not awesome. If you use Booking, they might not know you are coming, and the manager seemed a little irritated to see us. But overall, our stay was awesome and we would definitely plan Haines Junction as a stop again for a great night's sleep.

Great location! Clean hotel, our room was super comfy with great beds, slept like logs. Well appointed room with mini fridge, micro, coffee maker and what I enjoyed, sterilized glasses. It’s a nice touch. Clean and quiet, sitting in the shadow of gorgeous Kluane NP, the location is superb and we’ll be back when we’re returning from our Alaska roadtrip!

Ice machine lacking or we just didn’t find it

Alcan Motor Inn is located very conveniently close to most amenities, but does not offer breakfast on-site. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Bath soap, facial soap, shampoo & conditioner and enough towels were provided. Coffee maker was also available with coffee powder, sugar, etc. Plenty of parking space was available. Most rooms have splendid views of the mountains in the front.

Staff not always available at the Inn. One needs to call them (on a phone provided) to request any service - although they do respond quite quickly. Breakfast is not available on-site.

Great location. Friendly staff. Decent size room. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker were nice to have. Honestly, it was just a really great value. Really enjoyed our stay. Would have been nice if there was a hot plate to make our own meals, but honestly, it’s my fault for not bringing one with me. Would definitely stay here again.

We are repeat customers so we liked everything hence the reason we are repeat customers. In my former review I neglected to mention the plush towels, especially the bathmat! I will mention again the great bed and pillows, we slept like contented babies. Next time we’re going through Haines Junction we will be spending the night at the Alcan!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great food at the restaurant next door. People were very friendly. Nice place to stay.

We were on the first floor and you can hear people walking around overhead on the second floor. Not a big issue because it didn’t last all night.

Pretty clean, definitely easy to find and check in,

I could go into detail. But let me just say, we were there in mid September and one got the feeling that things and people were shutting down. Blinds didn’t work, rugs were still damp from cleaning, a coffee pot was not emptied. But the room had been cleaned, sheets and towels were clean.

The Inn is located just off the AlCan highway on the Tok Cutoff, very convient after traveling all day. It's nearby gas stations and a few restaurants if you can't find a snack inside the store right there at the Inn. The room was cozy and comfortable with a fridge, coffee maker, TV, cable, hot shower and comfortable beds.

The rooms are clean and updated. It’s extra convenient to have a mini fridge in the midst of traveling. Love the tiny coffee maker and the coffee provided is actually yummy. Amazing view right from your window and very affordable. Love that it is pet friendly as well!

Room was clean and functional (little fridge, microwave, tea and coffee) Check in and out was easy and fast. Staff very friendly. Restaurants and Bakery/Cafe within walking distance

Wifi was a bit slow and sometimes didn't work at all.
