The Holiday Inn in Lanzhou offers nice rooms and a good breakfast. The location is in the heart of Lanzhou, close to the Gansu Museum. It is inside a huge shopping center that offers a lot of dinner and shopping options. It is easy to park.
Because it is in a huge shopping mall, it might be tricky to find it once you are inside. Would be helpfull to have more signs and advertisement to show where the entrance is. The elevators are a bit slow, but hey, who is in a hurry on a holiday.

The hotel is great, it has been completely renovated and the location is perfect. Regarding to the breakfast more than enough, you have many choices to choose.
When we were checking in, the reception desk did not ask us with which card we wanted to pay, so she charged us with the wrong card. When I told him he started laughing and that for me is disrespectful. I told her to please call the manager and she got nervous. I would like the manager to talk to his staff and tell them that respect is one of the most important things in life.

I liked how the staff did everything they can to accommodate me. There is a huge mall under the hotel with lots of shops an restaurants. The thai restaurant in the mall was very good.
Most rooms smell like smoke so hard to find a room that did not smell like smoke.
