Holiday Inn Bucaramanga Cacique, an IHG Hotel

Everything! location, staff, breakfast, beds and pillows, and housekeeping.

I realized that this is not about the property or something that happens everyday, but it is important for the hotel manager to be aware of. There was an event at the fifth floor of the hotel during my stay that required the heavy presence of police, anti explosive vehicle (parked outside the hotel), and police dogs. On that day, I felt uneasy and unsafe as a guest, to say the least. Events are fine, but some events are not, at least in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the Sky Bar and Pool were being refurbished during my stay. I was not aware of this before arriving at the hotel. These facilities are quite a major part of the hotel and i have enjoyed relaxing there during previous stays, as such it was quite a disappointment that they were closed. Although I appreciate that work like this of occasionally necessary and unavoidable there could have been perhaps a small discount in the price perhaps to reflect the reduction in facilities offered for that period?

I always stay here when I visit Bucaramanga. The rooms are very clean and tidy, the staff are attentive and polite. I love the view of the city at all times of the day. The location is ideal as it is connected to the very large Cacique shopping mall which has great shops, restaurants and a later food plaza. Perfect to kill time. The hotel restaurant is a lovely place for breakfast. There is a SkyBar with a pool which offers amazing views of the city and is one of the highest buildings I suspect.

Unfortunately, during my stay the SkyBar and pool as mentioned where closed for refurbishment. This was a big disappointment although I look forward to returning once completed. It would have been a good idea to perhaps reduce the room rate a small amount during the period of renovation as this area is one of the attractive facilities of the hotel.

The room was big, the view wasn't bad, we had a view to the running track but it has a background of the mountains which is nice. The food was good as well and the personnel was amazing, friendly, always willing to help and with a smile in their face! Definitely we will comeback!

Breakfast was great. The location is one of the best for staying in Bucaramanga and the upper floors have an amazing view of the city and are a great place to spend time and have a meal and some drinks.

Modern , clean , comfortable

When you pay with American credit card, they double rip you off. I recommend everyone to pay cash to avoid 1- their 5% credit card transaction fee 2- currency exchange rate $1= 4000 pesos but when I paid, I noticed holiday inn exchange rate was 3600ish . So they literally double dipping

This is one of the best hotels in town. The view from our room was amazing. The swimming pool has great views of the city as it is located on the last floor. There is a bar next to the swimming pool which offers great food and cocktails. The breakfast was fantastic! Dinner at the restaurant was superb. Another good thing is that there is a shopping centre next to the hotel.

I loved the view in the restaurant and pool. My very comfortable room also had a fantastic view. The breakfast was awesome. The food in the restaurant was really delicious. The staff in the hotel and all areas was always friendly and extremely kind and helpful. A plus of this hotel is that there is a mall which you have access without getting the street.

The room does not have chairs, only the desk chair. I believe would be nice rooms have at least one armchair.

The view from our room was beautiful. We were on a top floor and the whole of Bucaramanga was visible from our window.

The Pina Colada we ordered at the rooftop bar was not up to standard. It was not cold enough and it was thin.
