Miss Sophie's Olomouc - Boutique Hotel

Loved this quirky place, very characterful old building, beautifully restored and decorated. Cute garden at the back for drinks or to relax. Excellent location right in the middle of the old town. Very friendly staff. Recommend Room 1 at the back which has a little balcony and overlooks the tree-filled garden. Is also very quiet unlike some front rooms.

Some rooms at the front can be noisy because of the cobbled street and trams though there is double glazing. It was very hot but we found the air con noisy. Other rooms have fans. The young staff would benefit from overall direction from a manager as the room cleaning in our 4 night stay was very random.

Very atmospheric experience in Olomouc old town. Old building filled with modern and comfortable facilities. My room had a coffee machine and a teapot with tea and other refreshments including chocolate and mineral water.

Well, it’s not Theatre, but on the other hand it right in the city center, so you don’t need to take taxi or tram to visit places. If you room is on the latest floor the stairs experience may be not the best, however if you made it you can freely reward yourself with something sweet in a cafe downstairs.

This place has a genius loci- we loved it. The little room behind the balcony reminded me of my great-grandmother's room in a small town in the Czech Republic a long long time ago. I loved the colours, the personal touch, the homely mugs and fairy lights on the bed, even the smell! The breakfast was lovely and all staff really helpful. This place is very special and I would love to return

Single use plastic- there is no need for so many little things wrapped in or made of plastic in the bathroom. Also it would have been nice if the hotel catered more for vegan visitors. Fried tofu, vegan sausages - it's not that difficult, vegans need protein too! :-)

A little gem in Olomouc. Cozy and clean hotel with an authentic feel - classical rooms, steep stairs, oldschool closets, natural soaps. It is connected to a coffeeshop downstairs with delicious breakfasts and drinks.

The check in process is a bit awkward with no real desk for that and with having to fill in the registration on your own. We did not understand why the person checking us in led us upstairs and stepped into our room and was explaining the hotel facilities in our room. Could this be fixed? It felt weirldy invasive. Plus you don't experience the "wow" moment when opening the doors on your own.

We stayed for a night at Miss Sophie’s in Oct but wished we could have stayed longer. The check-in / check-out is thru the next door cafe with the cafe staff doubling as the front desk. The cafe staff is mostly youngsters but all are pleasant and helpful. Our room on the second floor was very spacious with lots of storage space for the luggage as well as a big closet. There was a kettle and condiments for making tea / coffee. Even though the room had two big windows and was facing the street, there was hardly any noise and we had a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was big and all toiletry items were provided. The linen and towels were of excellent quality. The morning breakfast provided in the downstairs cafe had limited options but was filling. The historic Olomouc town square (big) is a 7-10 min walk, the smaller town square is another 2 mins away. The impressive cathedral is on the other side of the hotel, a 10 min walk. Dining options are plentiful around the big & smaller town squares. We would have loved to stay one more day to explore more of Olomouc. May be some other time. The only negative aspect is the fact that there is no elevator (lift). So you have to climb the steep staircase hauling your luggage to reach your floor / room.

The room exceeded our expectations. It was under the roof so we didn't hear any noises from the street. The room also has air condition so you don't have to worry about the temperature during the summer. The room itself has everything what you need, also with small kitchen with kettle and coffee machine with Nespresso capsules and few tea bags. Big bed in the centre of the room was very comfortable with lot of pillows. There is also table with chairs for your breakfast and big closet. In the bathroom we found hair dryer, makeup remover tampons, shower gel, shampoo and also body lotion.

Maybe just one thing. We were there only two nights, but we got clean towels for every day. For someone could be plus but for us is just little waste of water. But we can't complaint for that small thing.

The idea of a hotel based on the character in 'Dinner for One' amused the Germans in our party! And the hotel is very stylish, with muted tones and upcycled furniture. Very Instagrammable :-) Breakfast - in the coffee shop that is part of the hotel - is good.

Be aware that the location is a bit tricky - on a main street, with the tram line passing directly outside the front door. So you have to be able to park some way away and carry your luggage in. (Also, up several winding and low-ceilinged staircases in the hotel itself.) Rooms at the back, overlooking the garden, are quieter than rooms at the front. (The trams start quite early...)

Good location in the heart of Olomouc, rooms look lovely, nice touches in the room like fruit, chocolate, lime to flavour your water/tea. Bathroom was great. Staff very friendly and the coffee and breakfast downstairs were delicious.

Soundproofing is not good, we were woken up every night (3 nights) - first time at 5am by loud people and music from nearby nonstop bar, and other two nights by sounds from the hall which seem to echo into the main bedroom.

fantastic location right in the middle of the old town in Olomouc, very good breakfast in a nice artsy cafe downstairs, mineral water + apples + chocolate + tea - a nice welcome in the room :)

All was great but if you reserve you have to keep in mind two things: 1) you can get a room on a top floor without a lift - narrow, steep stairs (we had a room in the attic) 2) if you are with a car there is no private parking next to the hotel and the public ones are quite expensive

Hotel is beautiful and stylish, located in the historical building in the center. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good 👍 Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located on the noisy street. it was very noisy because of football players this night, we woke up many times the whole night.
