KOMPAS Hotel Aalborg

Excellent location in theheart of Aalborg. Plenty of parking spaces below and in front of the building. Room was good: nice and clean bathroom, excellent bed and even a nice little balcony.... Staff and breakfast were fine. Nothing special, but sufficient. Location is perfect for a stroll through the centre of Aalborg with it's nice car-free center, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and an inviting young, urban, creative atmosphere!

It's not possibloe to reserve a parking spot, which would be reassuring before driving the (fully loaded) car to Aalborg's city center during a holidat stop-over.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were some miniature ships on display in the lounge, and the hotel seems to have a maritime theme going on. The room had light switches like in normal apartments, which I appreciate, because I didn't need to play around with the door card to get some random lighting like in other hotels that use the card system. In the morning, I heard they had gluten-free options at the restaurant downstairs (but needed to be told in advance, so they could prepare).

Not sure about rooms with multiple beds, but mine didn't have shampoo and a hair dryer. I remember the ad was saying there should be some, but maybe I'm wrong. Not the end of the world, though :)

Absolutely faultless! Such a smart, clean and modern hotel with a fantastic breakfast included! We were travelling as a family of 4 and had booked one family room however upon arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to 2 rooms with an interconnecting door at no extra charge!! Rooms were incredibly clean and bathroom was beautiful 😍 Parking on site for 75kr which gives you 24 hours or you can park (as we did) on the street over the road that gives unlimited free parking. 15 min walk into the centre of Aalborg. Lovely waterfront 2 mins away. Breakfast was super and served from 7:30 on a weekend. Would 100% return!

Beautiful and very spacious suite, with a large and very comfortable seating area, an excellent bed, a balcony overlooking the city and an enormous bathroom. Excellent breakfast, with lots of choice and everything served in Weck-pots (very Covid-secure). Great location, easy to reach by car, with ample parking spaces, next to the iconic Musikkens Hus, and within easy walking distance of the city centre.

The breakfast room was rather crowded on Saturday morning. Staff was quick enough to replenish and refill everything, but there simply were not enough tables.

I loved the simplicity of this hotel. However, the room was fully comfortable and exceeded my expectations! The staff was kind, and they were willing to serve. Also, the breakfast was great!

The only thing that someone may dislike in this hotel is the fact that it is not at the center of Aalborg. The center is about 10 minutes walking. So if you like walking, as I do, this is not a problem at all!

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, children loved the basement with a pool table, shuffleboard and table football. Supermarket right next to the hotel was brilliant with us having kids.

Tiny bathroom / wet room which meant if you had a shower everything got damp. Every TV had a Google Chromecast so you could stream your device to it but the Internet was so bad it never worked.

The location was great, and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was a treat, with lots of food to choose from. The view from the room was good, and the bed was super cozy. There was a lot more space in the room than I expected, so there was room to unwind at the end of the day, Looby lounge is also a wonderful place to sit and relax with a coffee or drink.

Did hear a lot of traffic noise. So many bike bells. But by early evening, traffic dies down a lot

Very nice rooms which are well equipped. There is a common room with billiards and table football. The breakfast was very good. The location is amazing, there is quick access to the centre by foot. A free sauna is very welcomed after a long day.

The parking is quite tricky as the hotel doesn't own the parking place. The price is quite high and free space is not guaranteed as the locals used it as well. The breakfast foot loaded in the too small jars is kind of wasting resources.

We loved this hotel as a stop before taking the ferry to Norway and recommend it to anyone traveling to Norway (and others). Friendly staff and quiet rooms. Comfortable yet basic, but with a large bathroom. Not too far from the center. One of the best breakfasts on our trip. The Italian restaurant for which you will get a discount was also one of the best on our trip.

Who ever thought it would be convenient to put the large flatscreen TV on the side (and not in front) of the bed 😀

It's a very nice hotel that definitely met our expectations. Just a short walk from the city centre yet fairly quiet and very cosy. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was nice and varied. All in all, great value for money, nice atmosphere and very pleasant stay. We'll definitely come back.

WiFi was bad for some reason, we couldn't get it to work but that wasn't a huge issue. Duvets were a bit too warm for our preference but again, that wasn't something that we found too bothersome.
