Perfect for those arriving to DR, a bank and a cell phone service is just around the corner - so you can sort out your cash and sim card in peace from renowned branches. The hotel has a nice simple gym and a welcome drink.

They stopped responding to my messages on Booking.com. I wanted to ensure that my airport shuttle will pick me up with a sign and my name on it. So I had a bit of stress not knowing if they will pick me up until last minute (without internet or cash). Luckily I managed to find then in the crowd at the arrival exit space.

The staff are very friendly and more than happy to answer questions or give advice on where to go when you're out and about. The room was clean and the empty shampoos ect were replaced without asking. Check out was a breeze (far better than the nearly half an hour at another hotel) and the invoice detailed what each charge was.

The menu in the vista restaurant doesn't have prices. It can be noisy but it is in the city centre so it's to be expected. The casino is pants. I wanted to play some blackjack but it's all electronic games (mainly fruits).

Anyone who has traveled to the DR has learned to temper their expectations when it comes to accommodations. It is a growing country which has made giant strides over the past 20 years but in many ways their economy & infrastructure is still in expansion and ramping up mode. Have no fear with this hotel or location. A modern, well appointed and well maintained facility. Solid construction and all the modern touches one wants when traveling: flat screen tv, well stocked mini-bar, comfortable bedding, excellent AC, clean room and everything well maintained and not kept together with slapdash repair work. The staff is completely professional, polite and helpful. The hotel restaurant is comfortable, well ventilated and the food satisfying.

There is a casino attached to the hotel but it's all electronic, with no dealers (even at the roulette table). If you like slots or digital roulette then maybe you'll want to pop in but no craps, blackjack or any major table games from what I could see as I cruised the small gaming floor. It's also a bit dingy inside as it has the decor and carpeting of a local School of Rock concert.

Location is great, walking distance to the monument, which for most is the main attraction, they say Santiago is little Santo Domingo, as it has the city vibe to it, lots of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Carpark next door with 24-hour security. The breakfast and service were amazing! Very attentive to their customers.

We were given an "upgrade", but there was no window in the room, it felt cramped and the shower, the water went from very hot to cold and back to hot again, kinda annoying as one could not enjoy it. If people are talking in the hallway, it was as if your door was open, you can hear everything. Once there is no one there, it is quiet.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The beds were super comfortable and the room offered a great view. It is near the city, so you hear a lot of the city sounds , but to me that was soothing. We loved the restaurant, it offered both American and Traditional Dominican cuisine. The restaurant staff was very welcoming and attentive. You also get great views of the city.

We were in the deluxe floor which was great, but the furniture is in desperate need of upgrades. A lot of the tables and chairs had very noticeable scratches on them.

The staff was excellent.They were very helpful and friendly.The gentleman at the front desk,and Emanuel who escorted me to my room, and the lovely young woman in the casino all were very nice and they spoke English.The Dominican breakfast was awesome,as well as the dinner I ordered from room service.Both waiters were great.Every thing was Clean and working.Good AC in the room and casino.I was on the 3rd floor and the water got hot after 5 minutes.So be patient.

I'm sorry to say that it was quite noisy outside,even at 6 in the morning.It seems most drivers don't stop at intersections,they just beep the horn! Welcome to the DR.

The staff was really lovely and professional, very warm. My bed was comfortable, and the Internet worked well. The breakfast was included and good. The location was also good--you could easily walk to the Monument and some good restaurants.

The hotel is older, so the decor isn't especially modern. The shower was OK. Took a a bit of time to get the hot water running, and the shower head could stand to be replaced.

Welcoming and good service with a big smile from everyone. Clean and quiet. From 5th floor we had an exellent view over the mountains, the sunset and the town. Nice room with everything you need for an overnight. We liked the little coffe machine, immediately when we arrived at evening we had a nice cup of coffe at the balcony.

Only the continental breakfast was under expectation. With toasts you should serve a piece of ham, cheese and marmalade and maybe some little vegetable, like a half tomato or slices of cucumber.

Luckily we had ordered a room on the 6th floor, close to the restaurant. So it was just a short walk to breakfast and dinner. We had dinner the first night, and the Barbeque ribs were very good. The breakfast was very nice. You could choose from different readily chosen menus, like american, continental and dominican. And you could order single dishes. We went for the American, and I could not finish my plate. Delicious food. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to visit the monument. It is just a short, bit steep, walk away.

The receptionist was the only guy that did not have smiling eyes over his mask. Which could have made a better first impression. I am sure it has something to do with security :-)

Friendly and quick check-in. Nice and big room with a great balcony. Good equipped gym. Everything was in great clean and in great condition. The breakfast was really nice (eggs, saussages, ham, cheese, bacon, toast, fruits, cereals, fruit juices, coffee, tee...). Right in the city center, near the sights and "shopping mall", restaurants. In house casino.
