TRYP by Wyndham Cuenca Zahir

The TRYP by Wyndham was a great location to be based from as we explored Cuenca. Our room was spectacular. Very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast met our needs. The location was ideal as it was walking distance to the historical section of town and riverwalk.

Bring a sleep mask to help block the light that comes through curtains. We also found wearing ear plugs helped reduce the noise from other guests (although overall our room was quiet).

Breakfast was excellent and included in our stay. The lunch menu was diverse and delicious. Location was very close to downtown and felt safe. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Paul in particular helped us a lot. Beautiful view.

If you are on the 6th floor, you will hear all the people leaving the rooftop club at 1-2am. They were always loud, drunk, and right outside our door. They do not pay attention to the signs stating to be quiet. Also, the shower only intermittently had hot water.

Breakfast was fantastic! Lots of choices and it was included in the room. Staff were amazing. They were more than happy to help with my needs. I speak very little Spanish and they helped me with making phone calls and appointments at the local spa. Bonus- they have a roof top area and we were able to watch the Cuenca/Barcelona soccer game from there

It was all perfect!

The breakfast each day was fantastic. There was enough food to keep you going past lunch. If I remember correctly there were about twelve different breakfasts offered.

Absolutely nothing.

Breakfast was great with a Menu with great options plus a buffet bar with cereal, fruit, bread, and toast

The only thing I didn´t like was the Smell in the hallway and our first room did not open so we had to change.

The restaurant is superb, the menu great. I had lomo fino twice and I had costillos de cerdo, both excellent.

Like most of Ecuador's Andean areas, it's cc oo ll dd - as in cold. The hotel gave me a small space heater for my room so I was comfortable there. The restaurant is also cold, and the music is really loud in the restaurant. I like to study Quantum Mechanics ( Merzbacher, chapter on Scattering ) while I eat, but that's just me. I will return to this hotel soon, but I'll take my meals in my room, next to the heater and my book.

Everything about the property is fantastic from the staff and wonderful people to the rooms, the restaurants, everything.

Great selection and quality at all of the hotels food venues. Very accommodating staff. Excellent service throughout the hotel. Underground parking.

Noise from the restaurant below, we requested relocation and the manager complied promptly. Busy street next to the stadium.

that there were no glasses/holders to put the toothbrushes etc in the bathroom and also no sufficient space to hang the wet towels for drying

clean, friendly staff, beautiful view of cuenca and great location. rooftop restaurant was gorgeous.

we added on and bought breakfast as the free breakfast was a little small. but still a good value.
