Art Hotel Pallas by Tartuhotels

The hotel is in the very center, very convenient location. The rooms are spacious and clean. The original paintings on the walls, as an artist, I really liked! The rooms have a pleasant smell!) At first, they gave me a cool room with panoramic windows. But it was very noisy there, since the windows overlook a large avenue with heavy traffic, and secondly, I like to ventilate the room at night, but there is no way to open the window. Therefore, I changed it to a room with windows facing the courtyard, and it was a great decision! Silence, birdsong and fresh air.

The staff of the Humal restaurant, where breakfast is served, is something "awesome") Due to work, i came to have breakfast only one morning. There was 1 more table besides me. The time was 9-30, breakfast until 10 am. By this point, some dishes have already ended, but this is probably normal. But my surprise was that the bread was over. The waitress went back and forth, but did not pay attention to it. Then I drew her attention to the lack of bread, she said that they would bring it now, and I sat until the end of breakfast, but nothing happened… then I went there again for lunch and there was the same feeling that the staff didn’t take attention on the guests. You can wait 10 minutes for a menu! And this is with an EMPTY restaurant)

Very clean and spacious room, comfy bed and amazing location. Absolutely loved the breakfast: it’s minimalistic, but has everything you need and the food is delicious! You don’t get overwhelmed with the variety of choice and also maintaining the breakfast buffet & keep the food warm and fresh is so much easier. Less is more sometimes! And pancakes were sooo ridiculously good! 😍 Additional and main highlight are people in Pallas. I appreciate every human interaction I’ve had during my stay. The Pallas team is so nice,and welcoming and made our stay super memorable and comfortable!

Lovely room,big bed,and big bathroom. Lovely cold,and hot breakfast in restaurant on the first floor. Only very short walk to local buses,local bus station,and shops, supermarkets,local parks,river. When using public transport,like local buses,very good to use a Tartu bus card,buy it at local R shops. Very easy to use,and easy to load money on,as all the local people use them,and when you use it,it tells you how much left on the card when touched on reader on bus.

No coffee/Tea making facilities in rooms,noise from outside rooms that face roads.

The hotel was in a very good location within a short walking distance to many of the city attractions. It was very clean and modern both inside and outside. The room was a decent size with a private bathroom and many outlets for charging electronic devices. The WiFi was very fast. There were a quite a few parking spaces onsite along the side of the building. There was a restaurant and bar inside the hotel with awesome bartenders. The included breakfast offered lots of options and everything tasted delicious.

Guests might need some specific instructions for how to get into the hotel parking lot because it seems like you are driving on a pedestrian only walkway, but don't worry, that is not the case.

We stayed in the deluxe double room, which was tastefully furbished and with a super comfy bed. Room and bathroom were exceptionally tidy and there was even bathtub - a rare find nowadays. ;) We enjoyed the breakfast downstairs in the restaurant premises, where was a large variety of cold and warm dishes with very tasteful coffee. Traffic noise from the street might a little bit affect your good night sleep, so take the earplugs with you, if you are a light sleeper. ;)

Great location - feel and see the buzz of Tartu. Yet, be just about outside (3min) of the annoyance of too noisy partying. Interiors are tasty (and TV is big enough if you care about it)

I’ve never really understood rhe concept of offices-in-lower-floors concept of hotels. The lobby feels always as an add-on in a corner of a “spiritless” office building (yes, once on the hotel floor it’s quiet and stylish) A bit pricy for a hotel without much local services (but it may have to do with the fact that we booked on the same day and the rest of Tartu hotels were even pricier). Still - my next weekend in Milan city centre was about the same price …

Only five minutes walk from the bus station, and in the heart of the city centre. Hotel is inexpensive and well laid out. Music is piped through all corridors which enhances your mood. Friendly receptionist.Will stay at this hotel when I visit Tartu next year.

Couldn’t control the temperature of the bedroom and would have liked it warmer. Although there is a small fridge, the rooms could do with basic equipment like a kettle to make hot drinks.

In general very nice hotel in the very center of Tartu. It is recently renovated, thus rooms actually look very new and nice. Parking is free. Breakfast was really nice - not a huge variety, but they have chosen exactly everything necessary :)

When I was booking a room, then it was stated that extra beds are for free, but actually they are not and cost 17 EUR extra per night. Cots are for free. Thus something to be aware of. There are not many parking spots, thus if you are not early enough there and all the rooms are booked, then you might have to find a parking spot from the street. Our room was pretty small that might bother some people, but for us it was actually perfect, it was clean and looked very nice - so, not a huge minus here :)

Excellent location, a very short walking distance from anything and everything you need, clean rooms, soft linen on the beds, good curtains that keep the light away and the breakfast… DELICIOUS! Would go back even only for the breakfast 😃

It’s a bit difficult to get some peace and quiet in the rooms facing the main street because of the constant traffic noise, but maybe it wouldn’t bother most people, I am a little sensitive in that department 😅

Lovely facilities with views over busy road but not noisy. Very central for bus station 5-10 min walk, and similar to the old town. Train station 20-30 min walk away. Great breakfast at associated restaurant on first floor. Best breakfast coffee from a machine in travels in Estonia. Fresh and cooked fruit to go with porridge. Good selection of hot and cold food. Even pasta pre Tartu Marathon. Can select to have a kettle, so able to make drinks as needed. Also can select if room cleaned rather than daily input.
