Logis Hôtel des Châteaux

The room was pleasant, decent size and clean. the location is about 15 minutes walk into the old city, but we took the car instead so we wouldn't have to deal too much with the cobbled streets. Hotel has good parking.

The restaurant menu was focused on red meats so we went out for dinner. However, as it was a Monday, several restaurants were closed and 3 ones that we liked the look of on the web were all full for the evening. This was rather frustrating so we ended up going to a fast food place, which was not romantic!

Very good position for visiting the area. Fantastic hospitality from both Phillipe and his wife Nathalie plus all the other staff members. The evening meals were a triumph- cooked by Nathalie herself. The breakfasts were well laid out and delicious with plenty of choice to suit everyone. The room was very comfortable, spacious and very clean. Both the grey parrot in reception and the gorgeous cream cat were adorable. Will definitely be returning.

Easy to find. Quite accessible from main north - south autoroute. Good location. Plenty of parking. 10-15 mins walk to centre of historic village & Chateau. Quiet. Close to supermarket and filling station. Rooms reasonable. Looked like new heating/air con had recently been installed (not needed for our stay). Good food - evening meal had limited choice, but good quality. Decent continental breakfast. Excellent English spoken at reception, and very welcoming. Hotel recommended as a stop in the area.

Some areas looked a little tired.

Convenient location near motorway with spacious car park. A good quality modern hotel with a great welcome and fun homely touches like the resident grey parrot and wonderfully oblivious cat Napoleon. Very comfortable bed and a good dinner on site. Excellent breakfast included. We would definitely stay there again.

This is just a picky detail but if the lighting in the dining room was warmer it would enhance the atmosphere.

Very comfortable hotel with friendly and very efficient staff. Excellent food. There are better hotels for scenery, but the convenience of the location for travellers is perfect. The Carrefour across the road has the cheapest fuel for miles around. And then there's the parrot.... Go there. You'll enjoy it, though it's not cheap. Also try the superb local Azay white wine with your dinner.

The bathroom and loo door locks make a terrible noise at night and need lubrication so as not to wake up your other half. Hint to the management: a quick trip round the rooms with a screwdriver and an oilcan will please your guests.

Being near a roundabout is not an ideal location, but this is about as close a hotel as you will get to the chateau. Exterior is not exceptional, but the welcome from the proprietor and staff, and facilities inside hotel are exceptional. genuinely pet friendly. Recently refurbished restaurant offers excellent and good value choice, well prepared and well presented. Good value wine list. excellent breakfast. thoroughly recommended, Good value

Room was on ground floor and had a patio with table and chairs plus su loungers. The Owners spoke fluent English and were very helpful and attentive. Food was excellent . A must if visiting the Loire chateaux.

Dinner was excellent, quiet dining room with gentle classical music playing quietly in the background l. Ditto breakfast. The parrot in reception was ……unexpected. The very large Chatreuse cat was very friendly.We had asked for an EV charging point and one had been reserved, an overnight charge for just 7€, flat rate excellent value

Our room was bright, airy and comfortable with large opening windows. Lots of private parking. We had a lovely walk into Azay-le-Rideau and enjoyed the Chateau and the local restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed our evening meal.

Stayed at the hotel on an overnight stop and to visit Azay-Le-Rideau. Hotel is easy to find and has a large car park. Nice clean room which thankfully had aircon. Friendly staff speak English if required. Really nice evening meal and a buffet breakfast the next morning. The hotel is on the edge of town so its a 10-15 min walk into the centre
