Campanile Epernay - Dizy 51530

Ideal for an overnight stop or when touring the Champagne region. Staff were excellent, restaurant has a different menu each evening with 4 choices of each course, good selection breakfast, comfortable and immaculately clean room with good service when making room up. Unexpected extras included a comfortable lounge area with good sized screen TV. Parking is available for each room. Very convenient for anything you want to see in Champage, and easily found using map app. Rooms are on the small size for French hotels but perfectly adequate, comfortable and clean what more does one need. We did not request a disabled room so our room had a bath with over bath shower, and whilst the room was large enough to take a wheelchair this did only give easy access to one side of the bed I do not know whether there are any larger rooms.

We had a room at the back of the hotel and therefore has no issue with road noise but some may complain if at the front, however you cannot have access convenience and no roads. Only complaint was the standard/thickness of the connecting walls so we could hear the loud (almost shouting) of our neighbours on one side - we heard nothing from the other, so I don't see this is a problem with most guests - had I known they were English I would have been banging on their door, their disrespectful behaviour being in total contrast to all the staff we met.

The room was perfect for what we needed, a base in the champagne region within walking distance of some local producers. Twin beds were provided as requested. Breakfast was typical continental buffet style with tea/coffee. Unfortunately the evening staff thought it would be funny to recommend the local 'sausage' to me ....if you stay there then be warned, the 'sausage' is actually pig intestines and stomach!! It was absolutely vile and made me feel quite ill. The other staff were quite shocked I had ordered it, until I explained their colleague told me it was nice! The rest of the staff said they don't like it, so you have been warned! I like to try local foods when travelling but that one is a big NO!

For a Motel, it was great. We were able to have a beer & glass of wine before dinner. The restaurant was much better than expected and the food was very good, we were really impressed. Breakfast was easy and good. The whole thing was perfect for an overnight while travelling - would definitely recommend.

Nothing unless being very picky - it was fine.

The Bath! Staff were helpful with my partners Allergies when we came to order an evening meal. The food itself was a letdown.

Externals needed a coat of looking at, Woodwork tatty. and maybe a little attention inside the room too. Food in the restaurant looked nice on the menu, but was pretty awful to eat, we both left most of it. Avoid the Spicy Chicken, and Pasta dishes.

Room and breakfast were fine, a little disappointed at the poor range of food in the evening especially as this hotel was quite isolated so that dining elsewhere was not an option.

The evening meal menu was sparse and unappetising. We had a dry, tasteless pizza.

Good restaurant comfortable beds, good welcome, they spoke English but we didn't need it.

A bigger sign outside would be good. We missed it and had a five mile drive to get back ! As you leave Epernay, the turning is BEFORE the roundabout on the right.

Excellent location for exploring the vineyards. Good breakfast. Ample parking.

The dining area could do with some modernising (it was perfectly clean, just lacking in atmosphere)

Room was very clean and comfortable with quiet air-conditioning. Staff were friendly and service oriented. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk each way to Epernay,

Great stopping place which has everything you need for a stop over. Very close to Epernay and across the road a supermarket.

Nothing. But watch out for turning off main road to property small sign.

Excellent breakfast promptly replenished. A great setting looking over the vines .

The exterior was a little shabby in need of some TLC .
