Les Carmes and spa

The place is fabulous. Sixteenth century Abby that produced wine for the Pope in Avignon. But what we remember most is the energy and hospitality of Pascal, the owner and host who is 110% focussed on you having a great time. On the day of our departure, he insisted we eat breakfast early well before his normal hours -- he made, served it and helped us with our luggage. Room was large and had a separate sitting area. Facilities have lots of things to explore. You do need a car but that said, this place is well positioned for day trips to the Luberon and Cotes du Rhone.

We had a wonderful stay at Les Carmes. The building and grounds are beautiful, and the service from Pascale was attentive and super friendly. We loved the boutique style of this accommodation. Not so small as to be awkward, yet lovely and personal, with a wonderful opportunity to meet other guests. We particularly enjoyed the aperitif hour every early evening to enjoy a glass of wine and talk to the other guests on the terrace. Lovely facilities too - beautiful pool that didn't get very crowded, croquet, gym equipment. And lots of lovely personal touches. It was really nice to chat with not only Pascale, but also other guests from other countries. Everyone was really nice! But if you didn't want to socialise, that was absolutely fine too. Our room was spacious and great for a small family. It was on the top floor so we did get a bit of a workout carrying out bags up!

Everything was lovely. Prospective guests should know however that you will need a car as there is no restaurant at the property and you do need to drive to get places.

Everything was wonderful and the host Pascal had a lot to do with how much we loved staying here. We stayed in the best hotel room of our lives! Pascal's enthusiasm and warm welcoming presence was so awesome! The hotel itself was beautiful, swimming pool and grounds were beautiful. Excellent breakfast and wonderful wine appertif in the evenings. We loved everything about this place and with we could have stayed longer. We felt very well cared for. Thank you Pascal! We loved this place. The setting and the house is beautiful, so peaceful and calm. We were made really welcome and invited for drinks with the other guests at 7pm. The bedroom and ensuite was exceptional. We were late in arriving which was a shame as we could have stayed there for a few days. We requested breakfast very early which was no problem at all. We ate in the courtyard as it was a lovely sunny morning. Highly recommend if you are travelling through France then this is the perfect stopover. Just be aware that the sat nav takes you nowhere near the location. It took us quite a time to find it but worth it.

We had a pleasant, memorable stay at this spa domaine. We were warmly welcomed by Pascal, the host, with a glass of wine. The domaine had all the facilities: free parking, a swimming pool, a spa with jacuzzi and a fitness area. Breakfast was well taken care of, and in the evening there was an apero with the host and the guests. The room was very spacious and cosy in provencal style. Pascal gave us tips for trips by car. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby. We certainly recommend this accommodation and we look forward to come back when we are in France. Thank you Pascal for the wonderful experience.

Excellent continental breakfast with good coffee, fresh fruit salad, wonderful baguette and croissants, and cheeses. Owner Pascal was incredibly attentive, welcoming us with a glass of wine after a tour of the property, pool and spa. I loved the fact that the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean!! Our room was enormous, extremely comfortable, with some colorful parrots and funky bathroom! 😄The thing that I especially like about Les Carmes is that the pool and spa are open 24h a day!! Totally unheard of anywhere else, so Pascal must be the coolest hotelier in Provence!😎 Nothing was a problem or too much for him - we got coffee all over one of the white towels and dropped a bottle top down the sink ☹️but he and his staff just dealt with it immediately!😘

It is difficult to find people like Pascal and Marion, and spending a week at Les Carmes was like being home for the holidays!! From the delicious freshly-baked local, organic breakfast to the daily Apero by the fire, sharing stories and enjoying Pascal's home-made olives and regional wines... we will treasure the memories of our stay for ever!! The little town of L'île sur la Sorgue was a perfect base for exploring the Provence, and we also enjoyed a few wonderful gourmet dinners there. Thank you dear Pascal, with love from Cristina, Dominic and Louie. We will be back!!

Our family (2 adults 2 children, 14 and 11yrs) have recently returned from a week's stay at Les Carmes. It was one of our best holidays and Les Carmes was magical. The location was perfect for driving to near by towns and villages with some wonderful restaurants and scenery. Les Carmes' old rustic building and fabulous pool and gardens were amazing...but most of all it was Pascal and his team that made the place so special and made us feel like old friends enjoying Provence. I will always remember the wonderful evening drinks/aperitifs laid on by Pascal where we chatted and met other lovely guests and enjoyed the evening. We will definitely return.

the staff is so helpful as making a reservation of restaurants and taxi.actually we arrived at the hotel earlier than expected, but she welcomed us with smile. she always bright and warm to my family. that is the best memory of this trip. my kid likes her so much.the room is clean and, you can feel true Provence atmosphere anywhere in this hotel. breakfast outside is awesome! i highly recommend this hotel to travelers who want to feel comfortable in Provence.

This is an absolutely lovely bed and breakfast. Everything about this property is wonderful- from the rooms, to the garden, the pool, the courtyard where breakfast is served and an evening happy hour is held. Minna is absolutely charming and made every guest feel special and welcomed. I can not say enough good things about our stay. The property is perfectly situated to enjoy Provence. We will return if we are fortunate to travel there again.
