Château Le Méjean

breakfast was amazing, beautiful setting in the court yard of the chateau with homemade jams and fresh bread. The hosts were utterly lovely, very welcoming and made our stay perfect. we had the junior suite which was nice a big, clean with a classic French decor. The bathroom was modern and had a great shower. They provided a cot for our daughter which was perfect too.

the only 2 things that don’t make this place a 10. 1. A pool, this would’ve been amazing for the hot temperatures of French summer. 2. it was rather hot in the room so AC would’ve been great but I understand that not cheap to run so it’s okay

Genevieve & Pierre-Marie Rousseau are the most wonderful hosts. Everything was superb, stylish and of the best quality. The grounds are peaceful and beautifully managed.We even had a tour of Pierre’s amazing workshop. I stupidly left something in our room and Genevieve contacted me immediately so I could pick it up on my return journey.

We didn't stay long enough!

Pierre and Genevieve were the most wonderful hosts. They were extremely warm and welcoming and by the time we left they felt like family...The room was lovely and the view was spectacular. Breakfast in the morning in the beautiful courtyard was a wonderful way to start the day and there are a couple of very good restaurants within 5 mins drive in lovely locations by the river. I would highly recommend.

This is a pleasant bed and breakfast property with lovely rooms and comfortable beds. The shower is excellent but the lack of bath for a nice soak after exploring would have been good. The location is great for visiting this area and the owners excellent recommendation of the stunning Le Pessaquai Restaurant (right on the river) in the nearby town, a MUST go to if you choose to stay at this property.

The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to do everything they could to support us and make sure we had a great stay! They even dropped us at the wedding we were attending when our taxi didn't arrive. And an added bonus was the breakfast was delicious!

A fantastic Chateau in the Dordogne region. 15 mins walk from Pessac-sur-Dordonge. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent. Mr & Mrs Rousseau were the perfect hosts throughout our stay. A great experience staying in this wonderful Chateau. 10/10 Merci.

No complaints.

The couple who own the chateau were charming and helpful. They printed out forms for us on request, brought cutlery and crockery when we arrived with a take away and we’re keen to know we were happy. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

We had three rooms and one of the mattresses had seen better days as it wasn’t comfortable for two people. The decor is very French and perhaps a little dated.

Chateau Le Mejean is an excellent place to stay! House is beautifully decorated, the garden is full of flowers and gorgeous roses and the owners are very hospitable.

The hosts were more than welcoming and helped us finding nice restaurants nearby. We followed their recommendation to visit the Chateau du Duras and Saint-Émilion, which was both really impressive. Also, we enjoyed a delicious French breakfast with fresh croissants and home made marmelade!

We were here off season in October so we didn’t have too many options for dinner, but that was not the fault of our hosts :-)

The place is magic, absolutely amazing, the hosts are taking care of you like of themselves. The breakfast is yummy. This place is made for a restful detox vacation
