Everything. This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel and it won't be the last. The building is beautiful, the lounge area is lovely and the breakfast is simply fantastic. There is plenty of parking on the street for free after 6 pm but if in doubt you can book the hotel car park. I arrived late on a Saturday evening on the French long weekend of Pentecost but still found parking close to the hotel. One point: I recommend specifying that you want a room in the interior of the hotel to avoid being put in one of the annexe rooms overlooking the car park.

Nothing not to like.

Warm welcome from reception and suggestions for restaurant, lovely art deco lounge. Comfortable room with river view, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge. Organic fairtrade cotton towels and organic soap/ shower gel. Good position to walk along the river promenade and walk to restaurants. Close to Auchan hypermarket too for food supplies while travelling. A very relaxing and comfortable stopover for us, travelling south to north.

Overall, good value for money : - Charming building, nicely decorated that feels like a boutique hotel and not, as I wrongly feared, a standard chain hotel - Confortable mattress - Towels in organic cotton and nice hygiene products - Friendly staff - Check-out at 12pm - Parking (did not tried the breakfast as we woke up late)

- Unlike communal area, room decoration is a bit outdated but does not lack charms - Parking entry not made for wide/sport cars - Window shutters hard to manipulate - No coffee machine in superior room but a kettle and lyophilized coffee

We arrived late and have been welcomed by a very attentive young men who made some phonecalls to find an (still) open restaurant for us. He gave us helpful information and recommendations and we choose a nice place with wonderful food (Millésime Mâcon) for a late dinner! We especially liked the hotels breakfast and would come back for it. Easygoing and welcoming, wonderful cheese, high quality food, very friendly host!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure me and my family were looked after.

The parking situation is not clear. I booked because parking was available but there are only so many spaces. It’s worth calling them before you book if parking in a secure area is a priority. Otherwise street parking just outside is perfectly fine.

To start with, the location is perfect for our journey back to England, which is a shame it’s just an overnight stay because the area and town were lovely and we would like to have explored a little more. On arrival we booked in and due to a problem we had with our Covid 19 tests earlier that morning in the South of France and we were concerned that we would be all afternoon trying to sort it out, but when I mentioned it to the young lady on reception she sorted it straight away which meant we could enjoy the evening at the hotel and in the town. Our room was an average size room (105) was nicely decorated as was the whole hotel, pictures don’t do the hotel justice. The room was so quiet overlooking the river (via the help of secondary glazing which opens) The shower was great and powerful enough. Every effort was made to make the place safe regarding COVID-19 and though it may hold up breakfast a little, if we try and be patient and understanding it is no problem and I would say it is worth waiting for. The food was separately wrapped (cheese and meats) there were yoghurts, pastries, breads, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, sausages and cereals, which we really enjoyed. Priced at €15 each. On each floor there are outside relaxing areas which were very nice. We paid €16 for secure parking inside an enclosed gated courtyard which give great piece of mind when all your belongings are in your vehicle overnight. There are lots of bars and restaurants a minutes walk from the hotel, we chose the Ishwari Indian, a 15 minute walk and was lovely food. The hotel manager and staff deserve a lot of credit during these times for what they offer and in doing their best to keep customers both safe and happy, so thank you!

Nothing really, it’s a typical old French building with a lot of history and we will definitely return at some point during our travels.

A warm welcome and very attentive and helpful staff. Good breakfast with freshly made yogurt! Easy to find with onsite parking. Much of the architectural details like floors and windows, lovingly retained and restored.

view from the bedroom - looks onto a courtyard which is actually the parking garage! it wasn’t a problem as I arrived late and left early, but if you are staying longer, perhaps request a room looking out onto the front or back.

Good transit location on the way to our final destination. Hotel was fine, breakfast was nice and the room was clean.

There was no carparking available despite stating that there was when booking. We managed to find a free park overnight across the road but were concerned about the security of the car

Secure parking inside the hotel. Good location near the centre with a choice of restaurants at walking distance. Easily accessible from the motorway. Comfortable room, although rather small in size.

Did not get a free upgrade this time around. Very small glasses are used to serve champaign: makes for an expensive 3 sips... Housekeeping left us only ONE kleenex in the box...

Good location. Good quality room. Breakfast was good. Safe secure parking(extra cost).

Only one receptionist who appeared to have many responsibilities and many people arrived at the check in time of 3.00 pm so she was rather run off her feet. Had to wait some time to be let into the secure parking area.
