Hotel D'haussonville

This historic property, parts of which date back to the early 16th century, features less than 10 rooms in total. It offers comfortable stays in the historic kernel of Nancy within a 10-15 min walk to main sites such as the Place Stanislas. The breakfast is excellent, although at the moment it is all provided by a single person. ... There is also the need to reserve one of the two available parking spots well ahead of time, as otherwise this means going to the public parking, which happens to be close by and cheaper.

All was good, actually. Would definitely return.

it’s a beautiful national monument in a pedestrianised, quiet spot (this can confuse some of the taxi drivers) just a few minutes away from the main sights. The staff are enthusiastic and helpful, the breakfast good and the place is packed with character.

Being an antique building has its tiny drawbacks, I visited at the end of September and it was a bit chilly round the edges although the staff did adjust the heating. it is unstaffed from around 10.30 and there is no restaurant; however there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and the staff can prepare a nice tailor-made cheese board if you are all out of energy.

This is a unique hotel, within a historic building at the heart of this beautiful city. Be aware that unloading bags requires bollards to be lowered in the street and that access to most, if not all rooms is via a mediaeval spiral staircase but also the staff (owners?) could not be more helpful. So, if you are mobile and fit the charm and beauty of the hotel makes it all worthwhile.

Parking in a public square was a bit of an inconvenience but no great hardship.

Beautiful old private residence in old quarter of Nancy. Absence of elevator was not a problem for us and we enjoyed the wonderful stone spiral stairs up to our room. Perfect breakfast served to us in the elegant dining room including good coffee and fresh fruit salad. We parked on the main road and walked the last short distance because the old streets are narrow and one way. We walked to a restaurant nearby which the hotel booked for us. We would definitely stay here again.

One minor complaint that the bedroom was a little cold.

We enjoyed our stay Hotel D'haussonville thoroughly and totally. The location is wonderful so close to the city center but not really loud, the staff was super friendly and accomodating and was really happy to help out with all of our needs. Pets are also allowed which was great for us. We got our breakfast served in the room everything was prepared fresh / fresh from the local bakery! Our room was upgraded to a better room for free and we of course enjoyed this as well very much. The ceilings in this the room we were staying were really high which made the room feel even more spacious. The building is really old but the rooms are very nicely equipped and there is a beautiful patio area. Anybody staying in Nancy should consider staying in this amazing hotel! We could not reccomend it more.

A perfect location for the tourist on the go - just a short stroll to the city centre. The atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and elegant, with an "old world" touch. Our suite (Ming) was well appointed and decorated beautifully. The breakfast room is sumptuous, and the fare plentiful, fresh, and varied. The staff are polite, courteous, friendly, and very helpful and the secure parking near the hotel was very convenient.

Wonderful hotel in a great location and fabulous staff. The hotel is situation inside the restricted vehicle zone, but access is easy. Amazing building with lovely roo and good breakfast. Will definitely recommend and return.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but access to reach it by car, is over the security posts to enter the restricted part of the city (and you can not seem them decent in the road).

Location is great in old part of town. Hotel is in a quaint 15th century building - very charming. Rooms are large and well equipped.

No lift access to upper floors - apparently a downside of being in an historic building, but there should be capacity to install at least a 'dumb waiter' facility for heavy luggage. the stairs are narrow and difficult to navigate with large cases.

Beautiful building, stuffed full of history and charm and the team there are so friendly and welcoming. Already planning our next trip back!

The only small point was there was no bar as sitting in the beautiful reception room would have been lovely at night. Having said that room service was available

Fantastic place - like historical treasure, yet with all needed service. Personnel is just great: they meet you as an old friend. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very, very authentic.

Might be noisy with open windows. Street cleaning machines and garbage taking start to work early in the mornings.
