Hotel Le Rodin

Clean, large room, comfortable bed. Had mini fridge and terrace facing onto pool. It was easy to take my bay from the car as the rooms face the car park (motel style.) The location is in a peaceful residential area. The selection at breakfast was very good and the receptionist who was helping with service was lovely. You had the choice to also load a tray from the buffet and have breakfast in your room, or to sit in the dining space. Felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveller.

The bathroom had a bathtub, which I would have preferred to be a shower. I could not charge my phone or devices when I left the room as the room card was needed for the power. Noise carried from upstairs rooms and next door, so I was woken up by people leaving early in the morning- no fault of the hotel. You need to drive to town centre, due to the location.

It was small complex, however the rooms are spacious and clean! Not the most modern but not many are in France, the staff are what make the property, very friendly and helpful :) especially to me a non French speaking lady on her own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for touring the carmague region and the les rencontres photo festival in arles. Fab pool area for when you have walked your socks off in 40 degree heat!!

Nothing the hotel can do about it, but the mossies in the area are brutal!! Get the spray in the black bottle!!!

The hospitality was outstanding, from owner to cleaners.. William and his teams attention to their guests are noticeably above and beyond. The room was modern and clean situated on the ground floor overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfast was self service full of varied continental delicious delights, seated inside or outside on a beautiful terrace.. Bike hire is on site so it’s easy to cycle in to town which I would recommend.

absolutely nothing to dislike..my friend and I stayed for the opening of the Arles photo festival, for our first visit we were blown over with friendliness.. an excellent hotel!!

I stayed at Le Rodin during the opening week of Les Rencontres D'Arles. It's a very busy week in Arles, and all the hotels are under pressure. Le Rodin is a lovely hotel set a little bit further away from the centre, but I hired a bike direct from the hotel and it was really easy to get in and out of town this way. Le Rodin is peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. I have stayed here before, but this time the service was extra special. A special mention to William who was always so friendly and helpful on reception. It makes such a difference to stay somewhere where the staff love meeting people and helping with local information and tips - thank you William.

We had Le Rodin as a starting and endpoint for a 5 day bicycle round trip; Camarque-Nimes-Avignon-StRemy de Provence. For this Le Rodin was perfect since we could rent the bicycles at the hotel, which cooperate with the company 1VelocArles, also rent bags and what we needed for the trip. The bicycles where citybikes, perfectly OK for amateurs like us, William and the other at the hotel were very nice, also fixed a lunch specially for us when we arrived "of hours" and the kitchen was closed.

One has to be aware of that the Mistral might make the cycling take longer time than expected (but sometimes also shorter). The Mistral usually comes from north.

The accommodation and communal areas were great and well maintained, the pool area and terraces/balconies were lovely and the staff could not have been any more helpful.

The location of the hotel was not in the nicest of areas & further from the centre of Arles than anticipated and it didn’t feel comfortable to walk so driving or taxi was necessary

Would have liked some evening food at hotel. Possibly arrangement with local restaurants for take away menu. Most rooms had good wifi but my room was far away from mast so wifi not available. Had to change rooms.

Exceptional breakfast. Secure parking. Was able to tell us about local restaurants and book for us. Helpful information about the Arles it's attractions & parking. Amazing town to visit.

The pool had been closed down as it was the end of the season, but we understood. Could have been closer to the centre.

an unpretentious forme Motel with a nice palm surrounded pool: great when it’s warm enough from May onwards. location it great but nicely done up inside with secure gates. greate base for exploring Arles, the Camargue and all the Provençal hotspots. trick : have you go meals at lunchtime an feast on local goodies inc wine on your Terrasse. life could be worse!

space allowance toilet-wise adequate for leprechauns and other small-grown folk.

Extremely friendly and polite staff, very professional. There service was always quick. We were even allowed earlier in the hotel than it said in the guidelines. Mineral water as courtesy of the house at arrival and departure, beautiful pool with sunbeds, shadowy areas available, swimming pool noodles for kids as well. Breakfast was served either outside or to your room. It was possible to pick and choose and it was delicious. Not too expensive, either. Balcony, room, beds: nice and comfortable, we felt really at home. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Not too far away from the centre of Arles.

There is a building site right next to the hotel, where some huge building is being deconstructed, with drills, jackhammers etc., which is extremely noisy during daytime, so it´s basically impossible to relax at the pool before they stop around 4pm. There was a couple at the pool who disapproved of the playing children in the pool, even though they weren´t particularly noisy. Maybe it should be pointed it out more clearly that this is a family-friendly hotel. There were only French TV channels available, nothing in English or German. There were also no pool towels available, however, I think no one minded if you took the "normal" ones.
