Hotel De La Gare

Nice hotel located just near the Gare SNCF and Bus terminal. About 10 minutes walk to the city center but many people come to Quimper to see and visit places around so it is convinient to have a place near train/bus stations. Very good and quiet place, nice spacious rooms, clean bathroom. Nice breakfast. Staff is very friendly and willing to help.

I have a few small remarks. First - there were no wardrobe or a rack for cloth hangers in the room. You will have a small bar with a few hooks. So the clothes will be placed everywhere or left in the baggage for better days. Also not everyone from the staff can speak even A1 level english which sometimes can come as a confusing and torturous conversation if you need more shampoo or towels, for example.

Great location, great communication from the host, compact and contains everything you need for a lovely self-contained stay. Everything was lovely and clean and well-presented.

This is barely a criticism, but because the room is fairly small, if I had been travelling with a partner, we probably would have gotten under each other's feet a little bit, but for solo travellers in particular, this really is great accommodation and good value for money.

Brilliant staff, really helpful, welcoming and friendly. Very clean, nice bright decor, very comfortable bed, quiet. Directly across the road from the station and bus station for regional bus services (plus free bus service into town), short walk into city centre. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and great food. Excellent value for money and really convenient.

A small inconspicuous hotel opposite Quimper train station. Wow, what a gem, with friendly helpful staff, well-proportioned rooms, and an excellent breakfast. With the bus terminal and train station directly opposite, as well as a free shuttle into Quimper city centre, it is ideally placed if you don’t have a car.

The weather!

The location is great, a short walk into the town center, even though it was on a main road and right opposite the station the room was very quiet. Parking is at the back where the rooms are. The room was fairly large, the bathroom was good. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh with a good choice.

We found the bed too hard and there was no decaf coffee.

Very friendly .staff. Gave us the room early. The location was excellent across the train station. The room was of good size, very clean and so was the bathroom. I consider it a good value for the money.

Nothing, everything was good

the room was very clean and the staff very helpful. Although there were road works going on in front of the hotel, the rooms we had were around the back and were very quiet. if you are traveling by car, you need to book parking as they only have 8 spaces, which we had done.

Maybe a bit more storage space would be useful for those on longer stays of 2 or 3 days or more.

Everything was really clean and well presented. Great location for the train station.

The bathroom was a wet room - showering left the toilet and floor sopping wet. We had to use our towels to dry everything.

Great location for the station (hence the name), fair price, clean rooms, friendly staff.

Most of the bedrooms are in a kind of prefab building behind the main building. They face an inner courtyard or car park so you do hear other people coming and going.
