Hotel Le Relais Saint-Jacques

I had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel in July. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel itself seemed well maintained and clean. The room I had was more than adequate for two people, with a comfortable bed and a clean - although somewhat old - bathroom. The hotel is located right next to the train station and a very short distance from the historic centre and the beach, making it an ideal choice for those that like to walk or don't have a car, especially for the price, compared to other hotels in the area.

My one - very minor - complaint was the breakfast. It's a typical "continental" style breakfast, which is fine, but on my first day the croissants and pain au chocolate seemed like they were a day old and not fresh, and the fruit on offer was in little packets and again not freshly prepared. Everything else was fine though and for the price of the hotel, the location, and how nice the staff were, this really wasn't an issue for me.

Beautiful hotel well maintained. Great location. Really nice room with super comfortable bed. Tea Coffee and fridge in room. We were offered Beach Towels and Beach Umbrella. Super breakfast for 11 euro 50. Excellent coffee,Juice fruit all kinds of breads, Croissants. Hams and Cheese Fruit Butters Jams Beautiful yogurt. Great eggs cooked fresh to our taste. Our stay could not have been better

Convenient location right by the train station and bus terminal. Great as we were stopping over for the night. The charming markets and old town are right nearby. We liked the good selection of teas in the room. The staff were very accommodating and we were able to check in early. Thanks to the lovely staff who were happy to help us in English. The bakery next door is fantastic too, we'd suggest stopping by for a snack!

It was located on the main road with some noise and light coming in from cars. This was fairly well blocked out with closed windows and curtains drawn. There were mini soaps and body wash/shampoos in the bathroom. We'd suggest refillable shampoo, conditioner and soap containers as they create less plastic waste.

Very nice welcome including explanation of access after hours. Comfortable beds. Boiler in room for tea/coffee. Very clean. Good location--easy to find, and very walkable to reach the pedestrian shopping streets, restaurants & the seafront. I was traveling with friends who were vegans & the hotel's menu includes a quinoa salad that they raved about.

No parking available at the hotel, but we knew this ahead of time. The hotel is very near the train station where there is plenty of free parking.

The breakfast was wonderful with a varied selection. The location is perfect to explore the 'old town' , walk along the beach and to get back and forth to the train station. The staff at the reception are very helpful and helped me find everything I was looking for in town.

The internet reception was spotty. It just needed to be rebooted after I brought the issue to the attention of the reception. It was not. a big problem since I was traveling for leisure.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, really close to the centre of St Jean, you can walk to everything, free parking at the parking at the rear of the station.

There were lots of work’s going on on the roads and pavement to improve the area, even though it went on all night, and I was at the front of the hotel, it didn’t affect me, it will be finished very shortly, and did not affect my stay

Handily located to the train station, where parking was available only a short walk away. Also close to restaurants and the beach. The hotel had character.

I felt sorry that the road-works right in front of the hotel had taken a long time to be completed. This made access difficult and tracked dirt into reception areas and corridors. The location will be perfect when this is all done!

Stayed here before, very handy for the station. Also only short walk to the beach and restaurants. Paid bit extra for a bigger room and glad I did so, room was lovely.

Road bit noisy in the morning but OK with window shut. Also large amount of building work taking place close to the hotel so that is noisy too, which is a shame.

The Relais St. Jacques was a real pleasure. The location across from the train station with free parking at the station was very convenient. it is also easy walking distance to the historic center and the beach. The rooms were easy to get to via elevator. The room was well appointed with coffee and tea and the usual amenities. The room was also very quiet, with great A/C (we are in a heat wave) and a very comfortable bed. The staff members were very helpful including sending us to a great restaurant.
