Lovely historic. Good breakfast. Our windows opened to a green space , birdsong, church bells ringing

Doors locked when we arrived. A friendly neighbor helped us decipher the automated process or i don’t know what we would have done. It needs directions in the guests’ language, directions to activate lights, and warning about the step down as you enter the room.

Reception should be open later, it feels very empty, anonymous and impersonal past 8.00pm. For a hotel of that quality and rank, we would expect more staff and people you can speak to, not self-checking past 8.00pm. What makes a great hotel is also the staff, not just the location and the room. The staff when on duty is extremely helpful, friendly and nice. The hotel does not have a rest area.

Wifi did not work in the room. This was a big deal they need to fix. It’s our only complaint but it’s a VERY big one. I still rated it excellent on the condition that they fix this and because we loved the location and everything else. The tv cable wasn’t working either, that wasn’t as big of a deal since no English channels, but we had to then use data to watch shows on our phones.

Hotel is a quirky renovated post house with medieval origins. Lovely position in centre of beautiful rose limestone medieval town with good restaurants. Breakfast was comprehensive and generous. Very good value for good rooms in a great location

Lovely room in a superbly original hotel. Excellent, kind and patient receptionist, everything has been well thought out during Covid. Breakfast was great, some interesting regional breads, ham and cheeses as well as croissants etc. Comfortable bed above all! We'll definitely be back. Lots of places and restaurants to explore in the town a moment away from the hotel.

Only drawback is lack of parking at the hotel (including 1 badly parked car out front which prevented parking for 3) especially for someone less able to walk, but you can't change an ancient town and it was easy to find on-street parking in the main high street. Annoying do-it-yourself coffee machines have sprung up everywhere. We know it reduces staff time over breakfast, but a pot of great coffee would have been the icing on the cake.

Brilliant location in the historic heart of the town. Beautiful room with excellent en-suite and extremely comfortable and quiet.

Very pleasant lady on reception. The hotel is extremely well located, and with parking. Good breakfast, a quiet room and overall, the hotel is good value for money., and exactly what we expected for the price--rather basic, but perfectly fine for an overnight stay. Would consider staying there again if we were in the area.

Beautiful building, nicely done room. Lovely mixed style of old and modern. Great location. Cute town, many restaurants.

No fountain in the toilet to wash your hands. Needed to go up the stairs to bathroom.

Parking, we were lucky to get 1 of the 3 places in front of the hotel.

the hotel has a very good and central location. the room was charming and we both felt very comfortable. great amnesties and friendly host.

given the room was the last on the corridor, the wifi signal was very weak.
