Novotel Frankfurt City

Big size room, good enough for a standard family with two children, neat and clean room with all basic amenities, friendly and helpful staff. This was my 3rd stay in Novotel Hotel in Europe and found it comfortable and best value for money as always!

Not exactly in a central location, it was almost 30-40mins walk from Central Train Station to the Hotel, so we took Uber most of the time which costed 10 euros on average from Main Station to the Hotel.

The hotel is at the bar for the Novotel quality. The room was good and beds were comfortable. Overall, the infrastructure is well maintained. During the weekend, it has plenty of parking around the building. I also liked the idea of kids getting a free drink at the check-in :-) The lobby bar also has a little play area for kids, which is amazing!!

If you are travelling by car then the hotel is ideal due to easiness to access from motorways and street parking space. However, if you travel by foot then walking to the city center takes time, otherwise, you need to use the public transport, which is located nearby.

Very close to everything, unlike other reviews I read, the general city area the hotel is in is fine and safe to walk around. There are several friendly restaurants 5 mins walk from the hotel. Great value for money, spacious family room. Breakfast was really nice.

Facilities were a bit lacking, the hotel restaurant seemed closed on the Saturday night we arrived. I don't know if it's just Germany in general or the hotel but the water from the taps did not look drinkable, it was a yellowish colour but the reception had some bottled water. Another observation was you need cash, outside the hotel they don't pin a lot.

Room was more than better what we expected as a family of 4 and very very spacious. they kindly considered that we are a family of 4 and allocated the room accordingly. Breakfast menu was really good for kids and adults both and the staff brought us some omlette as well from the kitchen for the kids (Juliet was the staff name) Reception guys were outstanding and I would really like to call out some names here Philip, Suzan, Mariam and special thanks to Lars who was really helpful and patience with us to plan a day trip. location is good as WestBahnof train station was just 5 mins walk from the hotel.

Room should have atleast 1 mineral water bottle in case.

Friendly staff who were cheerful and helpful. They gave us a map and directions to the nearest train station (Westbahnof). Though its some distance away from the centre, its convenient because of the train station (about 3 stops away from Hauptbahnof) and the tram stop located nearby (tram 17 goes directly to Hauptbahnof). Room is clean and neat.

Surroundings is mainly offices, there aren't many food options. One of the shampoo bottles was used and was't replaced but it wasn't a big issue. Bring your own toothbrushes and toothpaste. Bed was a bit on the softer side.

The place is relatively close to access public transportation, also close to nice venues with things to do with kids (i.e. museum, garden/park). The surrounding area was quite, which was good to have a nice sleep. Breakfast was good. Room was ok. Staff were nice.

I would say that one of the think to be improve is the readiness of the staff to react to the requests made (i.e. we requested an extra pillow and took a couple of days to have it delivered), a bit more of option at breakfast would be nice.

Nice and diverse breakfast

Sink was blocked, bathroom had hair on the floor, had to go to reception twice to be able to go out of the car park as the ticket wasn’t working although I had paid for it the night before in order to save time in the morning. Expensive parking, room and had to pay an extra tourism charge, although the hotel is on the outskirts of Frankfurt, didn’t go into the city.

It was a very nice and clean room. A short walk to the train station and there’s a supermarket nearby. They also have vending machines if you need snacks or drinks in the middle of the night. Check Out was very easy, you just had to throw your card into a box.

We ordered breakfast before 1am (the card said we’d have to hang our order out before 1) and yet we didn’t receive any breakfast. Apart from that everything was fine.

the staff went out of their way to set up an additional bed in the room. all four of us were extremely comfortable. Thank you Novotel. they also went out of their way for whatever additional we needed in the room. Storing of our luggage was great, very friendly and amenable and helpful staff. They even gave us advice where to dine and visit

Location was great. Room and room service was good too. Lounge area was very nice for hangouts and chilling, so was the outside terrace area.

The hotel manager was totally incompetent, and felt may be even a bit racist. He has no idea how to speak to or treat your customers. His attitude was horrible and made our otherwise wonderful experience at the hotel rather unpleasant and anticlimactic on the last evening. He needs better training and lessons in customer care, service, and communication.
