Steigenberger Airport Hotel Frankfurt

Had an almost flawless stay this time. I would like to mention Mr. E. Liebel from front desk, who was a superstar when I arrived early after a long flight, he was friendly, open, made great small talk and found a great room for me that was already available. He was a hospitality role model and we could use some of his kind in Canada. Really enjoyed the small but fine wellness area. The Shuttle bus made ground transportation very easy.

Room cleaning missed some nuts onnthe floor. Room most likely not vaccumed properly. Other than that room was very clean

We booked this hotel because we had an early flight and there was a free shuttle service at the time we needed. Very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the hotel and the facilities. Staff helpful and friendly and room was very clean and spacious. Shuttle service was great (there are quite a few hotel buses stopping outside the airport, at the same place, but the other drivers were helpful and told us where best to stand and wait and what colour bus to look out for - although the name of the hotel is also on the shuttle). Would definitely use this hotel again if we needed to fly in/out from Frankfurt.

cozy, modern, nice widows, and lighting, spa was nice! clean bathrooms. the food and drink.

i was the only female in the spa & 4 naked men in the sauna.. i mean i enjoy a naked man, but i ‘paid money to stay at a ‘decent’ hotel’ cover it up boys!! oh i also ordered a nice dinner. and the waitress left her tables at the restaurant to do room service. so i went and sat down outside, she accused me of not paying. which was highly annoying!! i didn’t leave, she left!! before creating a scene she should have just placed my bill at my table outside. thank you ma’dam.

The shuttle bus is easy to find outside of B in Terminal 1 and is every 20 minutes. The place is close to the airport, but quiet. Not apparent is that the S-Bahn station into the Haupbanhopf in Frankfurt with access to galleries and the like is really quite close 5-10 minute walk past teh service station then under the freeway turn left and thence to Gateway Garden stations with 2 lines. It costs around 4 Euros. The beds were comfortable and I managed a late checkout (for 60E) as I had a rather late international flight; do ask in advance. The hotel staff were very helpful.

Sadly the Unterschweinstiege Restaurant was not open post-covid on weekends, so I missed out. The Cafe was not bad and had a good burger and beer.

Staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly.

Food at the lobby restaurant was terrible. I ordered a pizza - it tasted like a warmed up Supermarket pizza. For Euro 19 one would expect something tasty and fresh. I mentioned it to to the waiter - the response was an apology and an offer for a free desert. I was sorry for spending good money for terrible value. Menu offering were very limited.

Excellent in every way with clean, attractive rooms and comfortable bed. Upgraded by the hotel to the Executive Business wing. Beautiful view from window of forest behind the hotel. Terrific bar and seating open late with meals served until 11:30pm. Shuttle service on big bus every 20 minutes. 5 minute ride to airport. They quickly responded that they found my expensive item on their airport shuttle bus. I’ve been in communication since and am sure to receive it once the logistics are worked out.

Air conditioning could have been cooler. Thermostat dial won’t go below 19. Window only opens a crack so it was a bit warm.

Lovely hotel with nice pool, sauna and fitness facilities. Was given a nice executive room overlooking the forest. Shuttle to the airport was very handy. Staff were helpful.

It’s a bit isolated from everything but the airport. Restaurant has limited and overpriced menu. No proper shop on premises. At night you would have to walk along an unlit forest path to or from the nearest train station. Pool was a bit cold!

Due to a delayed flight and then missed connection flight, we were left stranded at Frankfurt airport overnight. We decided to book accommosation rather than stay in an airport (with very little amenities during the night). Booked easily, caught the very straight forward Airport shuttle bus to the Hotel, booked in, paid and stayed the night. Amazing room, very comfortable, great facilites and just what we needed after a stressful time trying to rebook another flight back to Edinburgh. Easy check out in the morning, by placing room cards in dispenser when leaving.

The hotel was well located and very comfortable. Transportation to the airport was free.

The reason for our overnight stay was the closure of the Frankfurt airport. We wanted to receive an invoice for staying at the hotel and paying for it, with both people's names on it. Unfortunately, this was not done at the counter, I sent a letter with a request to send the invoice to the email, there has been no reply to this letter. We need an invoice to get a refund for the overnight stay via Lufthansa.

Very convenient location. Shuttle service to and from airport. Received a free upgrade to Executive Tower. Friendly staff. Very clean.

Tried to phone for a wake up call and an iron but both had a prerecorded message in Deutsche which I couldn’t understand. I phoned reception. They said no more irons available and said they would organise a wake up call. I did not receive a wake up call at all so I missed breakfast and could have missed the plane. Arriving on at the regional train station. Shuttle service was hard to find. Others looking for it too.
