Welcome Hotel Meschede Hennesee

The breakfast had a very large and high-quality offer, the location of the hotel is beautiful, next to the lake.

The hotel staff is not up to par. When we were checking in, some cheerful grandfather went overboard explaining how to unlock the room and the like, as if we were stupid and didn't know how to unlock the room. Good thing he didn't show us how to get into bed. Also, when checking out, there were some misunderstandings about issuing the bill, the elderly lady was not very accommodating and kept repeating Nein! Nein! so in the end we called the boss, who immediately resolved everything.

Breakfast and dinner were always excellent. Our room was very good, maybe not overly modern but not an issue... Nice to have a terrace outside (if weather permits ;-) ) Staff is very friendly, notwithstanding the corona limitations/requirements we felt they did everything they could to make it an enjoyable stay. And the views, beautiful walks and serene surroundings make it a wonderful place to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday!

Although we asked to clean every 2 days, they only came to ask when we would like the room cleaned in the afternoon of our 5th day, when we were leaving the next morning (but we realize it's not easy, in these corona times...) Surprisingly, in a country which prides itself on being 'green', very little options to power up your electric/hybrid car in the vicinity. Certainly given the evolution to more and more electric cars, a few loading stations at the hotel (maybe even free for guests) would be welcome and convince new guests as well :-) Wifi is good in itself, but very irregular -- sometimes you lose all connection with the internet (e.g. streaming a TV program from 'home' was not always as easy as you could hope for...

The hotel is an old style but very cozy and welcoming and the location is just great, we had the Deluxe room with lake view and the view was just stunning. Good quality and variety of food at the breakfast so in overal I would say that this hotel is 100% worth the money.

We liked the lake nearby and the view. The place offers a nice recreational time plus the possibility to enjoy some hikes in summer or rides with the boat. There's also a swimming pool, so it must be amazing to enjoy this facility as well when the weather is good. The nature around is overall very beautiful. The breakfast is buffet style and it is well prepared. The room was super nice and clean. We enjoyed so much!

The locations was excellent directly at the Hennesee, modern rooms and excellent breakfast all morning. What more do you want.

Not really, but people should be aware that it is outside the town of Meschede.

The room was a decent size and really clean. The breakfast was delicious and it's quite practical to have the beautiful lake just outside. The staff were really friendly (loved that!).

The rooms are quite pricey and they charge extra if you'd like one with a lake view. Also, the parking was expensive; 7 EUR per day.

The room was lovely and the location amazing. A very comprehensive breakfast and helpful staff.

The room was very warm and the duvets far too hot for the time of year. I had to take mine out of its cover in order to sleep. tea-making facilities in the room would have been nice. (And a swimming pool!)

Superb staff and excellent service. Being a vegetarian had choice of food. Catering staff went extra mile to serve me with vegetarian food

Diner overlooking the water, what else can you want! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot for outdoor activity, or just relaxing staring out over the water...
