Hotel Agneshof Nürnberg

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, very good service, 24 hours reception, there is an underground parking (for a adequate fee), so you don't have to worry about the car. Hotel located in the historical center of the city, very close to the castle, old town, restaurants, shops and so on. The perfect location! Comfortable beds, the rooms are very clean. There are bottle of water, kettle, cups, soap, shampoo, body balm. Bath (not only shower) - it's a special pleasure :). There was ever sachet with salt for bath! Highly recommend!

The hotel is in the middle of the old town, beneath it one of the old beer cellers are used as garage and further down it is able to visit it if you take a red beer tour. This is the celllers where many of the people in Nürenberg hide when the hole town was bombed during the second world war. The hotel is close to everything. The service was excellent, they helped you with everything you needed. For a small fee you got acsess to the garage, remember to book it in beforehand. Then breakfasst was good and the service during the breakfast was nice. I can really recommend this hotel and a stay in Nürenberg.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel. A short walk from the station and an even shorter walk to all the sites as it is well placed in the centre of the old town. The room was warm and comfortable and very stylishly furnished. The breakfast was exceptional with a wide choice of cereals pastries bread fruit cheese hands salads scrambled andGerman sausage!!!

We liked everything about this hotel and will certainly be using this hotel every time we come to Nuremberg in the future. All the staff from reception, to those waiting at table in the breakfast room, the bar area and the housekeeping were very polite, attentive, helpful and patient offering service with a smile. The location, in the Old Town, was outstanding. It was an easy walk to all the main sights in the Old Town, restaurants and supermarkets. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. The shower was good and there was plenty of space to hang clothes and we liked the desk with chair.

It was quite hot in our room, and it's not even summer! We kept the windows open but suggest a fan be provided as a minimum. We were also surprised that there was no fridge, kettle or cups so we could make our own hot drinks. The staff were very helpful though and supplied us with as much boiling water in mugs that we wanted for free.

A proper hotel for a budget price. Located right in the heart of historic Nuremberg, just a few steps from the Christmas market, Hotel Agneshof offered a bright, comfortable room with spotless linens and a spacious bathroom, complete with tub. Parking is extra but you can drive and park your car on arrival for dropping bags and pick-up. Staff is friendly and the hotel very quiet. Perfect for families.

Parking is extra at €15/night, and a few blocks away — not bad or unexpected but worth knowing. Breakfast is also extra.

Our room looked out on to the top of the garden where there were squirrels running about. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden space outside the bar and meeting other guests. The breakfast had a good selection of cold cheese/meat/vegetables, fruit salad, a small selection of hot food and gluten free bread The location was perfect as we could walk to most of the museums and other attractions. There was a good variety of restaurants nearby.

The location is exepcional. in the middle of the most beautifull part of old town. A few meters from the castle, and wonderfull curchs, as historical buidongs from Midlle age. The room is very confortable with nice view and there s a lovely garden as an extra. Very nice staff.

I think that if was a mini bar, or small fridge in the room, as well a coffe machine, that would be a great thing, but anyway still a great place to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Location. The Hotel Agneshof is situated mid-way along a short, quiet street a few minutes walk from the castle and hauptmarkt. It is about a 25 minute walk from the main railway station through the old town. There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk in the area in front of the castle selling traditional Nuremburg food. The café-bar "The Wanderer", situated in the castle wall is worth a visit. You can sit outside, in front of the bar, relax and enjoy a coffee or a beer and watch the world go by. Restaurants serving more international food can be found in and near the Hauptmarkt, which is a few minutes walk in the opposite direction, downhill. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Most rooms over look the garden to the rear of the hotel. There is a safe in the room. Buffet breakfast is good value for money at €10 [2022 prices) and is served until 10:30 am. There is a bar that also serves coffee and tea. There is a small garden to the rear. Check out is 11am and the hotel has a baggage storage area.

No air conditioning could be a minus for some. It was quite hot at night during our stay in early September but we slept fine with the window tilted open to keep the room cool. The small arcaded area in front of the hotel is used as an area where people can sit and drink and talk out of doors. Because of it's enclosed nature there can be a little bit of noise from them affecting the street facing rooms, but there are notices asking patrons to be quiet after 11pm.

First of all the location down the cobblestone street was beautiful!!! The hotel was nicely decorated for the holiday season. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful!!! We needed to get from Nuremberg to Rothenburg and there was a train strike. We knew about it before hand the staff and especially Amalia was helpful if finding us alternate transportation. Loved everything!

Warm and friendly welcome, the room was super clean and I loved the window opening onto a quiet rear view of an old wall and the backs of houses. it felt peaceful and private (given how very busy the city was on a Saturday night!). The location was perfect, away from all the glitzy downtown shops etc and right next to the cathedral, castle and Durer house, down a quiet backstreet. Great breakfast, great communal space, lovely comfortable room where I slept very well after a very long day of travelling.

i can’t think of anything I didn’t like! the only thing I wanted to suggest was that to save energy it seemed totally unnecessary to have the outside overhead lights on during the day, in the entrance loggia! They could have been turned off.
