Schwedenhaus Wismar

The place is very lovely with all you could need already included or prepared. There is an automat with snacks and drinks, a microwave, dishes, hot water and tea variety, for you until 10 pm. The exceptionally friendly and supportive staff helps you with everything you need and was nounable to find yourself. Breakfast deserves a separate highest rate - the best for such a price ever, I absolutely recommend it!

This is just a minor comment that public transport in Wismar is not as available and various as in big cities, so check and plan accordingly and discuss with staff in advance the best options.

Room was clean and bathroom was very good. At £60, this is one of the most valuable for your money. Vending machine for water and drinks. Free wide parking, easy to access from any where if you have a car.

Room is very small and you can enter bed only in one direction. Location wise nothing is in a walkable distance, even the nearest restaurant is some 15 minute walk.

Nice and helpful staff, great breakfast, good family room, plenty of parking, short walk to town. Great value for money.

Only minor things really. More like a bit irritating rather than being things I didnt like, per se. Check in was a bit of a faff, having to use the separate terminal. Bit of a struggle to get in and out of bed. A lot of tiny insects flying around on the patio at breakfast.

I know I tend towards perhaps too many enthusiastic 10/10 endorsements here on Booking.com (hosts after all are usually doing their best), but Schwedenhaus in Wismar is possibly the best place we've ever stayed. Ever. Fabulous rooms, brilliantly conceived, lovely staff, and the best breakfast (value, quality, range, volume) on the planet. Wow! Thanks.

As close to perfect as one could ever hope for.

Breakfast buffet, layout of the hotel and rooms. Location was great. Quiet yet central

Bed size was great yet for unfit or elderly folk it's not ideal to get in and out of. Room size could be adjusted to enable side space for bed.

It was simple and comfortable. A small bathroom with everything you need. A good connection to the city centre, just walking. There was enough parking place.

Nothing - I liked this place. And, I will come again!

Exceeded my expectations and great value for money. Comfy bed, good breakfast, free parking, walkable distance to the city centre and very nice staff. Would definitely come back again for a short weekend break.

The heating could not be regulated (at least I did not manage to). It was either switched on, which became quite warm after a while, or off.

Good breakfast, comfortable beds, free tea and coffee at the reception, as well as microwave!

Maybe it is better to have a door between rooms, and not between a hall and a room :)

Small room but comfortable and clean. Quiet residential area. Quick check-in and checkout. Great breakfast with a nice terrace outside. Staff very friendly and helpful.

It's a nice 15 minute walk to town during the day but I would not want to walk that way alone at night. Shower thermostat was tricky but we managed to find a position where the water stayed warm.

Very nice, tidy and supereasy to check in. Can very much recommend 👍

It's a 30 min walk to the city center, but it's a very pretty walk so that's almost also a plus
