Innside by Melia Wolfsburg

We stayed one night at Innside by Melia in Wolfsburg at the end of a river cruise. We were delighted by the location, close to the river and directly opposite the railway station, where we would catch a train the next day. We were able to store our luggage in a secure place as we arrived very early, which we appreciated. There were some problems getting connected to the wifi, but we got there in the end. No coffee making facilities in the room, but an electric kettle was brought in at our request. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Would stay there again.

The location is great, easy to find, just on the other side of VW. The stuff is well trained, young, they speak understandable English and are for the most part polite. The hotel lobby and restaurant are ok, prices are normal (for this type of hotel). It is clean, the beds are comfortable (10/10), bathroom is clean, nothing to complain about. Breakfast is generous, with a wide variety of foods, coffee and fruit - 100% recommend to get breakfast included. This is our second stay at the hotel in the past 6 months - that alone should say a lot.

Wi-Fi is terrible in 2023 - 0.7Mb download, 0.4Mb upload (measured by https://www.speedtest.net/). For the room price, please upgrade the WI-FI because we are in 2023, internet is not something exquisite, but rather a banality, that all of us use everyday. Asking for 6 euro to speed up the internet to a 3Mb (measured by https://www.speedtest.net/) is just plain RUDE.

Location is most close to the main train station with access to Porsche street, which is also close. On that street there are several possibilities to for dinner. For hotel, nothing to complain. Everything as expected.

My room card was not coded properly to use the elevator, but this is really a minor issue. If INNSIDE wants to improve, it would be great to enhance the amount of free television channels. In these times of on-demand services like Netflix, Amazon and so on it is a little outdated.

Modern styling. Very clean. Good selection of complimentary toiletries. Location directly opposite the train station. Upstairs bar & rooftop an added bonus. Most probably the most premium hotel option in WOB aside from the Ritz-Carlton at the Autostadt.

To the hotel management itself: Charging €2 per pod to make coffee with the Nespresso machine inside the room seems a bit “tacky”, especially considering the target market of business travellers and the as-is room rate. Rather forgo the complimentary shaving kit and instead offer the in-room coffee “for free”. :-)

Lovely rooms with lots of nice details like a comfortable lounge chair, a toilet that was separate from the rest of the bathroom, a rain shower and a mini bar fridge large enough to store extra water bottles in.

The price of breakfast is pretty steep (my family would have needed to pay 76 Euro per day for that - two adults and two kids).

Great location for AutoStadt - easy walking distance. Very comfortable rooms/beds and good bathroom (shower). Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Rooftop SkyBar was closed which was a real disappointment as it featured in the adverts. Restaurant only open Monday to Wednesday so unavailable to us. Quilts on beds were far too thick/heavy for the summer.

Stylish Hotel close to outlet shopping centre, VW-world and the soccer stadium. Nice rooftopbar, must be stunning in sprin/summer. Very nice european breakfast.

Very well appointed hotel with helpful staff. Excellent choice of breakfast. Very well located next to the railway station and fifteen minutes' walk from the Volkswagen Arena. The price was very reasonable; you wouldn't get a hotel this good in England for the same money.

Location, breakfast and staff in the Sky bar - brilliant Reception staff not good as she just walked away from us saying she didn’t know ! Very unhelpful

Location in walking distance from volkswagen factory tour. Close to shops restaurants. Zaha hadid science museum

Technical problem with wifi. Not fixed on a sunday. Only wifi in lobby.
