Hotel Meteoritis

This is a beautiful hotel. It was more than we had expected. The rooms are updated. The beds are comfortable. All the rooms have amazing views of the mountains. Location is excellent. You can walk to almost all of the restaurants in the area. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast buffet. They have onsight parking. If the parking in the front is full they have additional parking in the rear. When the hotel manager saw that I had a cane he switched our room from a bathtub in the bathroom to a walkin shower. We didn't even ask for this. He was very thoughtful. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would book at this hotel again.

I don't think there was anything we didn't like about this hotel.

Cleanliness, silence, close to taverns, shops and local attractions. Lots of free parking spaces. Very nice view to Meteora, for part of the rooms

We asked for another room, since the one offered was on the ground floor, but the elderly gentleman at the reception immediately refused us, saying that he did not have another room, although at the accommodation he told us that we could choose a room with two beds or a double bed , and after us at least 10 couples checked in. Poor breakfast, only cold food, including cold boiled eggs, which means they have no kitchen there to cook food.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect to the monasteries. A great mini market next door and delicious restaurant in walking distance named Efrosinos. We drove into town for dinner and ate at Taverna Meteora. After dinner walked down by the shops and found a great linen shop. Antoni was wonderful. Great selection and great prices. This is my second time to his linen shop and he remembered me. Ted

Nothing really

I visited Meteora and I wouldn't have been able to visit all 6 monasteries if it wasn't for the hosts who gave me full information about the travel arrangements, held my luggage until my return, found me a taxi, and throughout the whole time were friendly and did everything for my comfort. If I return to Meteora, I will definitely return to this hotel. An important point - I booked a room with a view of Meteora, and the view was great (it opens from the side of the balcony), especially in the evening.

We enjoyed very much our stay at this hotel, the location, the hotel facilities and the friendliness and welcoming attitude of the staff! The Gentleman and the Lady from the Reception were a real pleasure to talk to! The Ladies from the breakfast, they didn't speak English, yet they were so nice and helpful, that really made our day beautiful! Also, the Lady from Housekeeping, always smiley and always helpful! We really felt very good in this hotel!

Just a personal opinion: the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and very clean, yet it felt a little bit cold and impersonal. Perhaps a small flower in the room or a welcoming perfume would easily change the atmosphere. Also, we were a couple and we received a triple room. A double room, without an extra bed, would have suite us better.

This hotel has it all! Splendid views of the mountains, strategically located in a magical place, clean, great breakfast, very attentive and friendly staff, secure parking, absolute tranquility. The perfect place to enjoy an amazing vacation!

Nothing! The place is amazing! Just the wifi was not the best but we had the same issue in many other parts of Greece... and, who needs wifi in a place like this!

The location was perfect, very close to the monasteries. We had a room with a view over the Meteora and we stayed until it got dark outside on the balcony enjoying the view. The hotel has a parking and serve a very nice breakfast in the morning. If you want to go to Kalambaka, you can take a 15 minutes walk and there you are.

I didn't like that because of the COVID rules of prevention, you are still assisted when choosing your breakfast. You cannot take whatever you want, whenever you want and for shy people is not very convinient. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Great hotel overall with excellent location in a village right in the Meteora. The view from the hotel is pretty good as well.

Breakfast should have been an open buffet, but when we were there (August 2022), it was still ridiculously treated with covid-measures (2,5 years after the beginning of covid !) : no self access to the food but instead staff with masks behind transparent shields helping ourselves.... whereas no guests wore masks or kept distances. Maybe time to offer us a relax moment for breakast ?

I had a room with a balcony where we drank some wine in the shadow of some of Meteora's stunning stones. It was perfect as the stones we could see were lit up at night which made for captivating views from the balcony.

The rooms were big...the beds were perfect & extremely comfortable. Also the price of two rooms with balconies was only 139 euros!! It was a very low price for what we got!! Also the closest restaurant was wonderful & the food was excellent. I had lamb chops & my tour guide had steak & both were delicious. I gave a tip of 10 euros (20%) & we were then given a complimentary cake with vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce dripping off the top!!

Great location, breakfast, cleanliness, staff friendliness. Parking space near the lobby entrance. The outside of the hotel is nice with tables to sit and enjoy your coffee/breakfast with Meteora View. We would stay here again.

The shower drain is next to the toilet seat, meaning if you need to use the toilet after the shower has been used you would step on wet floor. While it was not a problem for us in September, it could potentially prove uncomfortable during the winter.
