Airotel Patras Smart

Andres was great when we checked in. And Leia - she went to great lengths to find us a fan because it was humid when we got there, and the hotel a/c was not running yet. Leia is the perfect front desk person - efficient, accommodating, attentive - she made us feel welcome! The hotel had lots of hand sanitizers around. The filtered refill water station on our floor was a good bonus! The housekeeper on our floor was a joy - always smiling! Breakfast was great - lots of varieties and local food. The room was good size with lots of storage. The bathroom had no curtain or door for the shower - but surprising, the water did not overflow!!! Good drain too. Great-smelling toiletries. Bath and mat towels were thick!

The breakfast was as you would expect normally from a larger hotel with plenty of choice and very friendly and helpful staff there to make you fresh coffee : food felt home made and it is of very good quality while there were changes from day to day to some dishes. both hot and cold breakfast was served. The staff from reception especially, to housekeeping and breakfast were amazing. on my second evening the receptionist even came down to help me to a space tahr eas not visible from the entrance. The location is great for the port, and great for those who don’t wish to be at the centre but wish to be close at roughly 10 minutes walk.

It is not that i did not like it really but the temperature (with 3 degrees celsius outside) felt quite warm for my taste and i opened the windows to try and keep the temperature at about 26 degrees. the parking was tight with 7 spaces but you can get prong with camera protection at the main entrance. the location worked for me but if i was not with a car and wanted to visit the city i would have preferred a more central hotel

It is not quite usual that in order to enter the hotel you have to turn back to the sea. The only thing that was between the hotel and the sea is the road and the parking place for the buses. But it does not affect the staying. I was unlucky not to have he room with the view, but anyway, the room was spacious and perfectly clear. Oh, and the bed... It was difficult to get up from such comfortably bed. For me it was perfect. Breakfast was very good: for English breakfast lovers, for traditional cuisine lovers, for sweet lovers, anyone could find something. It is close to the train station, not the main one, but there were trains every one hour to the center, which was half an hour distance walking. But close there's Cathedral and streets full of great restaurants.

My room was next to the reception, without almost any view, the only windowa was for the courtyard, mostly closed with the window shutters as the room was at the ground floor. And I could hear any guest coming, as there's something wrong with soundproofing of the room. And that's all. The rest was very good.

It was clean and pretty comfortable, great value for money in general. Good bathroom

the city view in our room was just directly to another building and windows where there were always people working, on the pictures it s totally different view and seems that there is a balcony, in general I don’t mind to pay extra for the room with balcony but no one offered and I don’t see an option to book here another type. In a breakfast my husband found a hair in his food, so couldn’t enjoy it

Nice modern room. Big TV screen. Nice shower utilities like shampoo/shower gel, hand soap and bodylotion. The breakfast is amazing. Great variety of delicious, healthy and sweet food. Lighting and other electricity options are very well thought of. This hotel has the potential to be 4 stars.

Upon arrival the window didn't open, and the shower head was a bit loose which is why the water goes everywhere but straight down. Fixing it went very fast! Yet upon a short stay I didn't want to be dealing with these problems.

A very nice hotel - efficient, effective and comfortable. Everything worked and was very clean. The room was of a good size with a nice bathroom area. There was a kettle in the room - and the room we had featured a balcony looking out over the sea. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There looked to be a parking area under the hotel but we found plenty of street parking right outside the (side) door of the hotel. The breakfast was surprisingly good: hot items + a good range of vegetable/salad/fruit options, plus yoghurt and the usual continental breakfast items. Easy to walk into the pleasant town centre. The seafront and cathedral are a matter of metres away. Patras fortress is worth visiting - imposing with brilliant views over the bay: it’s quite a steep walk up though, so may not be so suitable for those with mobility issues. it’s very well located for accessing Patras Ferry port. The hotel seems focused on delivery and value, rather than fuss - which is a very positive thing for us.

Nothing - I would mention though that both Apple maps + my ip to date TomTom SatNav directed us to the wrong place (basically, to the street they the cathedral is on). It was Google maps that got it right!

One very pleasant place in Patras to stay in! Our room has a beautiful sea view from the balcony! The room was big enough and the cleaning ladies have done a very good job as often, as we requested! The staff was very kind, they provide needed information anytime, always smiled and were helpful! We are very pleased and happy about our stay in Patras, we hope that we will come again! :)

Probably we expected more from the breakfast because, in the middle of the week, the food doesn`t look very fresh and tasty - I mean the tomatoes, bread, cheese...there were some eggshells into the crumbled eggs...it happens, but they could improve it! The Greek coffee was always nice!

The hotel is located between the city center and the seafront, in a relatively quiet area. The room was clean, equipped with everything you need. Breakfast is pretty good, enough to say.

Although on booking it appears that there is private parking at the location that does not require a reservation, at the time of accommodation we were told that all places are occupied and we were suggested to park on the street next to the hotel or in the parking lot of a supermarket on a parallel street. As the seats on the street were all occupied, we had to leave the car at the supermarket.

Interior design, amenities - nice self care products, more than enough sockets, very polite and willing to help personnel - special thanks to the night shift officer solving an unexpected issue (my bad) uppon arrival

Sound insulation could be better, not really against outside (street noise), than the one inside (corridor mostly, other rooms' door slapping)

Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Excellent and comfortable bed. Good shower facilities.

Free WiFi a bit patchy, had some difficulty finding the signal. Once connected, speed was good. Hotel is located on the main coast road in Patras and the traffic noise was pretty bad if you were using the balcony. Their soundproofing was pretty good, outside shutter, double glazed doors and inside roller curtain, and earplugs!
