Lilia Hotel

Lilia Hotel is a family run property that deserves a higher star rating. Great location with a multitude of eating and drinking options only minutes walk away. Close to bus and metro connections to Athens City or Athens Airport. 15 minute walk to Ferries for the numerous Greek Islands offering inexpensive travel options for day trips. Literally just a few minutes away from Pasalimani/Zeas Harbour, encircled with restaurants and cafes or a short walk to Mikrolimano for a more upmarket feel of dining options. Alternatively, the bustling port city of Piraeus is just 15 mins walk with all of its Upmarket shopping and restaurants both modern and traditional. Breakfast was adequate and the staff very attentive. They are happy to make a cappuccino or latte instead of the normal fare of black coffee or tea which was refreshing. Our room was spacious, with a balcony, which we used on a number of occasions with a glass of wine or an Ouzo or two. We also had plenty of storage for our 4 suitcases and 2 backpacks. The cleaning staff rate a mention as they do a magnificent job keeping the rooms clean and tidy. I’m a bit of an Air Con cleanliness freak and upon inspection of our unit, I found it spotlessly clean, to the point that there was not a trace of dust inside. All of the reception staff were very friendly and super helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and connections to Athens as we were staying on for 9 nights. They were happy to book a tour to Cape Sounion on our last day in Piraeus which went off without a hitch, getting us some memorable sunset pics at the Temple of Poseidon.

Our bed was a little hard for our liking, especially after a week sleeping on it. Safe was not secured to anything which was a concern for us so we didn’t use it. Hot eggs would be a welcome addition to breakfast.

From the start to finish it was exceptional. I arrived very early and was greeted by Dimitri who was warm and welcoming. He allowed me to stay in the lounge until my room was ready. He brought be coffee, offered breakfast and my room was ready very quickly enabling me to shower and take a nap before exploring Piraeus. The rest of the stay was equally delightful, a good breakfast every morning. Then on my day of departure I was able to store my luggage while venturing out for the day because my ferry wasn't until 21.00. Marios was delightful and attentive too and enabled my departure to run smoothly by organizing a taxi to the port. The Lilia Hotel was clean, comfortable, located close to the marina and all the staff were helpful throughout my stay. A hotel that went above and beyond. Thank you Lilia Hotel. My to go to hotel to stay at whenever I'm in Piraeus.🙂

No complaints.

A great choice if you need to catch an early ferry from Piraeus. A pedestrians-only street starts a few yards from the hotel and leads directly to Gate E9 (Seajets departures to the Cyclades). Admittedly the street goes up a little before going down (quite a lot), but it’s pleasant, safe and you can’t get lost. We trundled our suitcases along it no problem. The hotel is clean, well kept and in a very quiet location. Breakfast (bread, jam, honey, coffee etc) while not haute cuisine, was excellent value and set us up well for our journey. Being available from 6am was perfect.

Everything was as expected. It’s not a luxury hotel and Piraeus isn’t an area you would choose for a whole holiday, but it made a great jumping off point for the Greek islands. We’d definitely use it again.

Internet was fast and stable despite being on the top floor. The hot water also worked perfectly despite being on the top floor and in a cold weather season. The hotel receptionists were very friendly. They were patient when my work called the hotel in order to get ahold of me. The rooms were very comfortable, and I appreciated that they had a mini fridge. The bed was also very nice. The hotel was amazing and was at a fantastic price.

I couldn't figure out how to lock the windows in the bathroom which made me a little insecure since anyone has access to the patio and could technically access my room by climbing through the bathroom window. Breakfast wasn't very appealing and wasn't much of a selection but I did go to breakfast during the later hours so maybe a lot of the options were already gone by that time. A friend of mine who was on the first floor said he had problems with the Wi-Fi but I didn't have any issues whatsoever on the top floor of the apartment.

The hotel was very well-kept, spotless, and with a great staff. it was located about 4 minutes from the Piraeus Public University, which is the reason for my choice, to begin with. The room was comfortable and sharping clean.

I leave only one recommendation: Double glazing the windows to reduce sounds from outside. Sounds from the outside, for example, cars and motorcycles speeding on the road, people talking a bit too loud - these can be heard inside the room, even with the windows closed.

The staff at the Hotel Lilia were very helpful which is why I return there every time I go to Athens/Piraeus. The room is wonderful as is the breakfast. The location, close to Pasilimani is spot on. It's a short walk to a number of bars and restaurants and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the port, depending on how heavy your luggage is. The port can also be reached by trolley bus 20. Moreover, for those visitors wishing to take the X96 to the airport the bus stop is close by. Thank you Dimitra for all of your help.

Lovely little family-run hotel. fairly basic, but that is what you are paying for. Great location within easy walk of central Piraeus. Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Has a small bar facility, and we had coffee there a few afternoons. Would certainly stay here again.

breakfast was very basic, and limited space at busy times made seating harder to find.

We were staying 3 nights before catching ferry to Naxos. Staff arranged for us to be picked up from airport, which was really good. We were then able to use tourist bus to get into Athens for 2 days. Was able to walk to restaurants and wander around the area which was lovely. Breakfast had choice of items. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful, contacted us when we left something behind.

Room was very clean and location is right next to the Marina, which is a short 15-20 min walk to the port gates or a very short taxi ride away. The marina has lots of nice restaurants and bars. Air con was excellent in the heat as well!

Nothing - however you do have to leave your key at the desk when going out which was a bit intimidating as not had to ever do before. Although we had no issues stem from it.

Check-in was a breeze and it's great that the reception is manned 24/7. The staff were really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, even comes with a small balcony. It's a great location with easy access to lots of restaurants around as well as the metro which is a 10 minute walk away.

Not much to complain about but would appreciate liquid handsoap in the toilet instead of bar.
