Harriet and team were so helpful; all the staff including the cleaning ladies were friendly and kind. The double glazing was great; very little noise from the small road below us (facing sea). Nice, popular pool area with comfortable loungers and table tennis and a pool table nearby. Room 25, an apartment with separate bedroom, was spacious and big enough for 3 of us, with one sleeping on one of the two couches in living room. We had a harbour view and a long balcony which was perfect for drying towels, etc, on the rack provided. The wifi was great, no issues at all. There was a safe in the wardrobe which didn't cost us extra. Useful hairdryer in the bathroom, which decided to die one day so the reception lady lent us a plug in hairdryer without a moment's hesitation! There are lockers, showers and toilets in the basement, which can be used free of charge on the day you leave if you have a late flight. We were going to use these but decided to pay €40 more to keep the room until 7pm the day of our flight home. Snacks and drinks are available in pool area at lunch time but we didn't try them. What made this apartment perfect for us was the closeness to the marina where a friend lives, so it was 3 minutes walk to visit them. The apartment is also near a corner shop and laundrette and a fabulous patisserie is literally on the other side of the road. Two supermarkets are just under 10 minutes walk away (Sklavenitis and Synka). Less than 5 minutes walk to several good value restaurants, Thraka (souvlaki), Maria's (traditional local), Kokkinos (about 20 types of pizza & traditional local). Kokkinos, in the square, was a favourite. Loads of more expensive restaurants along the seafront, e.g. Downtown, where the food was excellent. There was still nightlife in mid October! We mostly used the buses to get to and from Heraklion airport, pretty easy and about €10 per person each way.

The mattresses were well used; we could feel the springs but I had seen a previous review mentioning asking for mattress toppers so we asked. With the mattress toppers the beds were very comfortable. We had smokers on the balcony next to us - we kept having to close the balcony doors so we didn't get smoked out! Perhaps one side of the building could be non-smoking (although it did seem everyone except us smoked!)

We were met at reception by the manager Harriet who shook my hand. Harriet was also waiting outside the lift to show us to our room. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated (much nicer than the photos) and spotlessly clean. The best thing was the amazing large terrace which overlooked the port. The hotel has a decent pool with comfortable sunbeds and a nice bar selling reasonably priced drinks. We didn't have breakfast but the breakfast area looked very nice. The staff were all very helpful and the location was excellent, an easy walk to the beach, old town and harbour. We would definitely recommend this hotel, excellent value for money.

Perfect location close to old town and beach. It is very clean and they clean up apertment every day. Towels and sheats where changed after 3 days. It is nice and quiet with great view on Port and sea. We had beautiful big terrace where we enjoyed a lot.

We didn't have double bad as we asked (we got two singl bads next to each other) wich is common in Greece. Also stewtop didn't worked at all so we couldn't use the kitchen even it's nicely equipped for holidays.

Great location - near the sea and also near the old town. We always found free parking near the hotel. Very fun pool. Huge balcony.

Daly cleaning could be a little better. Very hard mattress. Drinking beer is not allowed near pool, just from local hotel bar.

The hotel is well located, close to the beach and to the historical center. The swimming pool is definitely a plus, when the wind or the heat are too strong to stay on the beach. The bedroom is in fact an apartment, with very good facilities and spacious. The staff is very helpful.

The beddings are a bit old. The quality of some of the products in the breakfast, as the tea, honey and the juices, could be improved.

Honestly couldn't have asked for more. Staff were great. Location ideal to be close to both the old town and the beach. Place was super clean, maids really good. Aircon superb. Showers powerful and temperatures ideal. Beds and sofa beds were sound. All in all Peak value for money. Strongly recommended.

The hotel is very good located. The beach is 5 minutes and the old city is only 5 minutes walking. The panorama was beautiful from the 3rd floor family apartman. The kitchen is well equiped. Everything is very clean. The staff is very friendly. Harriet manager is very kind and helpful. We have a wonderful week there.

Absolutely the best! Thank you, dear Harriet and thank you, dear ladies of the staff, for your kind, none formal service and help! Very nice and comfortable hotel, just 3 minutes walk from the harbour. Heartily recommend to everyone.

Harriet was an exceptional host, hotel was in an excellent location, sea view was beautiful. Exceeded all expectations. Will definitely be going back.

Friendly staff, spacious room with big balcony and beautiful sea view. Great pool and entertainment facilities, table tennis and billiard table available to play, and for something more relaxing you can borrow a book. Good location, short walk to town
