Aegli Hotel Volos

The Aegli is a comfortable and stylish hotel, situated on the front facing the passenger port and the sea. It offers pleasant designer rooms with minimal furnishing, good lighting, and easily controlled heating and ventilation. Excellent and plentiful breakfast and, unusually for hotels, good coffee (Douwe Egbert)

Minimalism comes at a cost: there was limited ordered storage space for clothes (no drawers at all) and no shelf or dressing gown hook in the otherwise excellent shower room. No bar! Alcohol was visible at breakfast but I could not get a beer in the evening.

A very nice hotel in the heart of the town, along the harbor front. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival, and during our stay. The room was quite large and well appointed, with a separate lounge area from the bedroom, and kept very clean each day. Easy hotel to get to with our car, and generally had a parking spot on the side street. A great base from which to explore the town and surrounding areas. Plenty of choice for cafes and restaurants along the harbor front.

The bathroom was a little narrow

Exceptional service by all of the staff!! : extremely professional, polite, efficient and quick. The location is ideal for walks, jogging, site seeing, entertainment, dining. Rooms are nice and super clean, (maybe with a "touch" more minimal decoration than adequate, for a more than one-day-stay, but hotel assistance is omnipresent, and 'to the point' to solve any guest requests), strong wi-fi , with rich provision of cute and fashionable toiletries and amenities and, (the ones to the front) have a very nice view to the port. Breakfast is rich with a vast variety of choices, tasty and fresh products (dining room is spacious, very clean and nicely decorated). Parking is not provided but we had no problem finding parking space around the neighborhood (right in the heart of Christmas time). And last but no least: one of the VERY FEW hotels (all over Greece) that is literally PET FRIENDLY!!!!!! To make a long story short: Aegli hotel is an excellent choice !!!

Ideal location for a short break or an overnight stay before catching the ferry. The standard rooms are well designed with comfortable King Size beds, tea/coffee making & fridges. Modern shower rooms have complimentary toiletries. The extensive buffet style breakfast has choices for everyone. The Hotel is very clean & all the staff are professional & friendly. We have stayed here before & would definitely stay again.

The "Superior Double Room" was normal sized and clean, with a nice mattress and pillow. On top, the location was ideal - just a few meters away from the nice cafes and taverns!

We had booked a "Superior Double Room" through the app. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist directed us to a very small room with skylight view and no balcony - which was far from what we had arranged, of course. We severely complained to the receptionist and after a few minutes he gave us a proper double room.

Great position opposite the ferry & easy walk to main shopping/business areas.

A large group of school children stayed at the hotel the night we were there. They were noisy very late evening & unruly and rude at breakfast. Some of the girls actually elbowed me out of the way when queuing for pastries! They should have been better supervised if sharing space in a good quality hotel, with regular guests.

The modern clean compact room, had a very comfortable bed, soft white linen , lovely hot shower, large seating area on the balcony, a good choice of food for breakfast. polite and helpful staff. We're staying here again!

No drink making facilities in the room , or hair dryer, but I asked at reception and was loaned a hair dryer. And shown the room where I could make a drink. So not a big problem.

we'd already stayed at Aegli a few months previously when renovation works were being carried out so we were glad to see that everything was now finished. Our visit was again short but we were able to benefit from what seemed like a brand new hotel. All facilities were spotlessly shiny and breakfast was even better, with plenty of time to catch the ferry to Skopelos.

The location of the hotel is perfect, especially if you do not want to use a car. The view to the port is great. The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious and contained almost everything I wanted. The staff was very helpful and smiling

Although we had one ofe the best, as far as view is concerned, room, the mattress of the bed was not good. It was too soft that you could feel a pain in your back in the morning. But this was probably only to our room, since in another room that stayed friends of us, the mattress was super.

Location by the port and near the city centre with views of harbour and generous balcony. High ceilings and comfortable bed.

Some elements of the room were a bit spartan e.g. a kettle for tea and coffee would have been nice. And the bathroom was not very practical. There was nowhere to leave a toiletry bag. Lack of accessible power points.
