The Ubud Village Resort & Spa

Peaceful. Away from the mayhem of central ubud. You felt like you were in a private oasis. Wonderful breakfast choices. Staff welcoming and helpful. Grounds tranquil. Shuttle service to ubud central provided. Daily room service if you chose.

Like all places in Bali, usually dark in the bathroom area . lacking in PowerPoints. Multiple day beds and seating around the pool but only 3 umbrellas around the whole pool area. With people being so conscious about staying out of the sun they could not provide any more cover to sit around the beautiful pool. The friends we traveled with had a swim then had to retreat to their room. There seemed to be only 3 couples/ families around the pool at any given time as that was the only shade.

The Ubud Village Resort and Spa is Incredibly relaxing and quite, where can I start, the staff, the service, the food , the ambience or the serenity of the place. We booked the Private Villa for 5 nights and it was outstanding!! , definitely worth every minute. It was very private and spacious. We were on our honeymoon and they have provided us with exceptional service, flowers on the bed, on the floor and the bath tub, it was the most romantic and memorable experience we had. Not only that, we had their Balinese Romantic dinner and it was magical, they set up your own villa, while you can stay in the room and enjoy a hot shower or even in the bathtub( and you guessed it, no one can see a thing). Also their floating breakfast was amazing, they provide a lovely afternoon tea as well which has always various options and menus. This Holiday was one of a kind, I would recommend this place a million times.

The property was beautifully located close enough to walk into the center of Ubud but not directly in the center so I felt I could unwind. The staff were fantastic -genuinely friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The General Manager Wayan and the management team were also very friendly and would come and talk to the guests and check we were all ok and if we needed their assistance with anything. The breakfast selection was fantastic with multiple different options and all delicious and fresh. The property was extremely clean and the room was beautiful and very private. I highly recommend the resort.

When you arrive at a venue after more than 30 hours without sleep, all you want to do is sleep. Arrived at the location at 1am and desperate to sleep. However when pulling up to the surroundings, you sense something special was about to happen. Welcome drinks at that time of the morning and the team took us to the the room. when we arrived and witnessed what can only be deemed the height of luxury, sleep was put on pause. Simple touches like the welcome message at the front of the apartment meant that things were going to be special. Private pool, indoor and outdoor shower. Outside bed. If you can imagine luxury, this is not too far outside of that. LOVED EVERYTHING about what Ubud Village Resort and Spa includes the scenic walk to the restaurant to get breakfast, the amazing staff team and workers on site who ALWAYS made a point of saying good morning with a smile. Ubud is totally buzzing and coming home to the resort after a day out to this amazing place is what visiting Bali was about. Not only did it meet expectations but also exceeded expectation. It is fair to say that we will be returning and this time bringing the family along for the ride

We had an amazing time, the staff were fantastic. It felt very sad to leave after 8 nights. It’s such a nice setting with spacious villas and it feels like a home where someone else does a turndown service and makes an epic breakfast. Whenever we had an issue or asked for something, they were very prompt to resolve it. We miss the restaurant - great breakfasts, afternoon teas, all day food. We did a floating breakfast too.

There’s a little bit of wear and tear from the humidity. A bit of light inside the wardrobes might be a good idea.

The staff were so kind and attentive, the breakfast was delicious and plenty of options, and the pool was so nice. Our first night we were kept up with a lot of road noise and the staff actually asked how we slept, so we were honest that it was terrible. They moved us to a different room and it was quiet and wonderful. We were so grateful to have our last night be restful. The accommodations inside and outside were lovely, enjoyed the outdoor shower and the seating area by our private pool. The robe a slippers were a nice bonus.

Although the grass roofs are traditional, they are not quiet and every sound is heard. It also allows for smells to enter like cookout smoke.

The pool villa was absolutely divine. We could have stayed there forever. The grounds were so lush and lovely; it was a pleasure to just be at the resort. Food is of a high quality, with a few options for us vegans. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. My only regret is that we did not stay longer!

There is some need of updating and refurbishing (i.e. loose tiles in the pool, warped wood, old furniture, etc.), but these small details would not keep us from returning to this little slice of heaven. I know that the pandemic was tough on Bali, so it will take a little time to fully recover.

Absolute luxury! The villa is huge - two day beds, private pool with enormous bed, outdoor and indoor shower and outdoor bath. We had a brilliant stay. Best breakfast - ample choices, beautiful quality and stunning surrounds at the resort (rice paddies and gorgeous gardens). The staff were friendly and helpful and we felt very secure. The villa was nice and quiet except for a rogue barking dog one night but still slept very well.

It’s a kilometer or so from the main center of Ubud so you will need a taxi to get in as it’s a decent walk. Traffic can be busy so allow 15-20 mins to go that far, and sometimes the hotel taxi won’t be available straight away. We just walked a few hundred meters til someone approached us for a taxi.

Everything about the Ubud Village Resort and Spa was wonderful but we would particularly like to mention all the amazing staff. From the moment we set foot in the hotel we experienced nothing but the most incredible hospitality. Staff are warm, friendly and professional and make what is a fantastic hotel a truly outstanding hotel.

The staff, our Villa, the main pool, the grounds, shuttle service into Ubud, the food…. basically everything! oh and not forgetting the floating breakfast - loved it!

The village Villa with the private Pool are amazing! There is so much room to spread out and chill! Very cozy environment! Indoor and Outdoor shower with an additional sunken bathtub! The little frogs in the small ponds keep all insects away! ;) For my wife's birthday we had the floating breakfast at the pool and after our trip to the monkey forrest she was surprised by a very nice flower arrangement on the bed and flowerbath! the staff is extremely nice and helpful. You ask for it and you get it right away. They organized a brand new scooter for us! The Spa-treatment was very good and relaxing and hanging out at the pool after our sunrise hike to mount batur was perfect. you actually feel like being in a country club!

If there would be a little more variety in the restaurant which is also amazing, then we would have eaten there more often! ;)
