Babylon Rotana Hotel

Three things -- I have stayed at the Babylon off and on for many years and the better you know the people who run it, the easier it is to spend long periods there as I do for work. This time, though I really want to say the staff was so sweet and thoughtful and it made my stay and work (in Baghdad's 49 degree centigrade heat... ) the best it could have been. The breakfast offers a terrific choice and the freshly made eggs are lovely and the more European breakfast foods as well as the offer of a proper Iraqi breakfast so that if you are having a business meeting with people from different backgrounds, everyone can have something they want. The Gym and the Gym staff are fantastic. It's clean, the machines are kept up and for me that is SUPER Important. Evan is a great trainer, Maha is always helpful at the front desk. And they have another great trainer, who was there less this time. As a person in Iraq on business, I work 12-13 hour days and the 90 minutes every day in the gym are the best in my day.

See Above -- The rooms are weird -- it's not the hotel's fault, it's the way the building was configured. They are oblong in shape and rather dark. They have done what they can with the lighting. But the rooms all could do with an upgrade. They are oblong in shape and rather dark. The carpet seems very dated and the furniture in some rooms is chipped. They are beginning to install better/new mini-bar refrigerators that keep things cold and that's a plus. WI-FI -- is POOR compared to other hotels. The Grand Millenium in Basra has a much better system. So do most hotel in Erbil. It's something that needs work.

the prices of the minibar were shocking, one bottle of water wich is 15 cent, they sell it in the minibar with 7$. are you serious? also, the price in booking were 310$ per neight, and they charged me 340$ per neight.

Very friendly staff, and they are extremely helpful. A safe place, and lots of security. Wifi is fast and reliable. Covid PCR Test available in your room. Nice restaurants. International standards for sure. Worth the extra cost! =) Lots of restaurants nearby.

It would be nice if the Televisions could get upgraded as smart TV's so we can watch youtube or netflix as there are note many TV channel choices.

Security seems to be important in Baghdad and the hotel take care for this. It is a good hotel with a very impressive entrance. The room is not the best but good enough. Very good breakfast and good restaurants inside the hotel.

Due to the USD to Iraqi Dinar issue, the Hoel charged me approx. 12% more on my credit card. And for a such expensive rate, the +12% was not well received. Hotel should find other ways and not charge Customers for this issue.

The facility is amazing and well taken care of, the world cup environment was fantastic, the diversity of seating spaces, the room was so clean and comfortable, the lobby and the entrance are like a museum especially the old cars exposed in different places of the hotel.

The management is very professional and having a world-class hosting culture, but I belive the stuff need more training and orientation and it is not a negative point actually just to have these youngs well prepared for better career.

The hotel was located in the center of Baghdad, a very secure area, a very safe process to go In. it has a nice vibe, decoration, and retro cars, the facility is huge, swimming pool and the gym are great.

Overall its really good nothing much to complain about. of course its not a newly built hotel, it feels a bit retro which is something i like, alcohol is not serviced there.

I had an amazing stay at Babylon Rotana hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. The highlight of my stay was the spa treatment service provided by Alina. She was professional and attentive, and I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baghdad.

it’s was great specially after a long week of work. loved everything interior & exterior. big thanks to Mr.Nihad ( Turkish bath ) amazing skills , very professional - suggestion to have the ability to tip ( Visa card ) if accepted by hotel R&R!

my balcony view wasn’t great (can see less than half of the river ) but no major complaint . Steak could be better. (also nothing major)

Very secure hotel. Multiple security checks. Very friendly reception. Particular mention of Diana who was pleasant and cheerful. Good view from river view rooms. Nice welcome fruits and traditional sweets in the room. Nice lobby with retro cars all around.

Staff at breakfast need to be better trained, particularly in English. Very expensive hotel. Maybe because it is the only International Chain operating in Baghdad now.

The staff was very professional. Always friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a good selection of cheese, sausages (chicken or beef) etc. The cleaning was spotless and the bed very comfortable. You have a good view from your room over either the city or the Tigris river. WiFi-connection was good troughtout the hotel. The security routins at the hotel was very serious and I felt safe during my whole stay.

Nothing really. The power run out a few times but returned after a few seconds.
