Awesome!!! Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed ! We were really pleased with our stay at the "Moycarn Lodge & Marina" as it is a very nice hotel with all the facilities needed. Extremely clean and neat room. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and manager. Staffs were very friendly and professional. All the staffs are a true sample of excellent hospitality. The environment was peaceful and beautiful. It was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding. The service is unmatched. Highly recommended and extremely happy to stay again 😊

Was in Ballinasloe at a conference in another hotel, where I could not get a reservation. What a stroke of luck. I stayed in the Moycarn Lodge & Marina Hotel. What a fantastic location, at the moorings on the River Suck. It is a small intimate hotel but what it lacks in size it makes up for in all other departments. Had a few enjoyable drinks in the bar, breakfast in the dining room. All staffed by efficient, friendly and welcoming people. The room was huge with a wonderful view of the river. Bed was comfortable and the place was so quiet as it is built well back from any roadway. It was my first time in Ballinasloe but not my last and I will make sure that the Moycarn Lodge & Marina will be where I will stay.

There was nothing not to like. Just an observation which I passed onto management. Rooms got a little warm due to the radiators being hot during the night. I cured this by opening the window. I am sure that the fitting of thermostatic valves would be a more efficient and certainly less expensive way of controlling heat.

Lovely location overlooking the water, everywhere had a lovely vibe about it. Food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and provided good service. The waitress who served us at dinner (early 20’s, fair hair in pony tail and glasses was fantastic and the 2 waitresses with dark hair in ponytails for breakfast were also great ) A warm welcome and a lovely goodbye. Would recommend and would return if in the area again.

Facilities were missing just one or two things - eg fan in room as was extremely warm, wardrobe didn’t have rail high enough in it to hang up dress without crumpling (was only high enough for shirts) TV in bar area was very loud (ok if having drinks but not if having food)

The location is amazing and so peaceful. Very nice romantic getaway spot that's a hidden wee gem in Ireland. The breakfast is 8/10, I got the Irish Breakfast so that's the only meal I could comment on personally, my girlfriend the same but all in all a great breakfast that we were both happy with and excellent service from the staff. We got a very warm reception when we walked in the door and that stood out from other hotels I have stayed in.

I didn't like the check out time. If I had my way and this is being nit picky but I would check out at 3 especially on a Sunday! I also would have liked more non alcoholic drink options. But all in all I can't say that I didn't like a lot of things because the place really did deliver! Will definitely be staying here again.

The owner and all staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They made helpful suggestions of places to visit in the area. The menu offered a varied range of excellent dishes and the restaurant was open until 10am for breakfast and until 9pm for evening meals. The hotel restaurant was popular with local people, giving it a warm and welcoming vibe in the bar, although if required, a quieter table was available. Our room was very clean and comfortable, it led onto a large balcony and had views of the marina. Towels were changed and room was cleaned halfway through the week. Unlimited bottles of free sparkling or still water in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had a brilliant week and hope to return one day.

Beautiful setting. Lovely and accommodating staff. Comfortable beds and tasteful furnishings. Really great dinner at the Resturant. Impressive breakfast! Perfect place to stop enroute Galway/Dublin.

I would have given 10/10 if it weren’t for the awful soundproofing. It is such a shame, really our only complaint. Your neighbors and guests moving through the car park area might as well be in the room with you, every word can be heard along with EVERYTHING else… (bare that in mind).

We ate in the hotel for dinner, the staff were able to accomodate us with a last minute table reservation. They were also very friendly and catered for one coeliac guest. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. We had guests from Spain along joining us and they were really impressed with the welcome from staff.

The hotel would benefit with some updating in the bathrooms/ corridors, but this did not deters away from the experience of the staff

Super cute place in the countryside with delicious food, nice breakfast, view over the marina and friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. Recommended place to stay if you look to rest and rechange in a green and relaxing environment.

We loved that it’s an insolite place but some people might find it afar from the town as there is nothing else around.

It was lovely to be by the River Shannon and not in the Centre of Ballinasloe, easy access from the motorway, the room was very quiet, bed comfortable, breakfast good and ample parking.

The heating. It was on no matter what the thermostat was set to, the radiator was turned down and it was still hot at night even with the windows open.

The lodge is located near the backwaters and has amazing view and nice patio. The restaurant and staff were courteous and welcoming at all times of the day. The food was made with all dietary requirements as requested.

The rainy weather limited our experiences at the waterfront. No regrets with lodge
