As a woman traveling alone I found the location of the hotel safe. It was about a 10 minute walk from St. Stephen’s Green. The hotel was tastefully decorated in keeping with its Georgian origins and it was well kept. My single room was pleasant, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast which was included in my room rate had a menu with lots of choices and was served by efficient and friendly staff. The tables were nicely set with white table cloths and large gold doilies. I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing.

Beautiful old house with lots of charm. Spotless bedroom, great shower. Comfy bed. Delicious breakfast : the fruit salad with yoghurt was so lovely and that was just a starter!. Parking available . Central location. Staff courteous and friendly. Tea/coffee maker in room.

Didn't mind them, but the stairs up to our room would be challenging for some. This is flagged beforehand.

Alright location, a bit of a walk to the main downtown area which was alright because it meant it was quiet, and the walk was rather pleasant. If you plan on doing a lot of back-and-forth you might want to check bus schedules or taxis. I was in the single bed "loft" room, which was tiny but comfortable and adequate for my needs. Good hot water in the shower. Breakfast was perfect.

I could hear everything in the room next to me and the hallway. Everything. I could follow the conversations on their television programs. Some night be put-off by the distance to the majority of the big tourist attractions, but it was definitely walkable, multiple times a day even.

- Great location, in a quiet area but close to everything. - Lovely spaces - Very welcoming staff - Beautiful breakfast - Room, although tight, has everything you need and it is very comfortable. Really a lovely experience. - Thankfully the plugs had USB port, as I forgot my adapter.

- Doors need better sound isolation. Every time a guest gets in or out, you hear every door and every single step along the stairs. It is an old building, but there are major gaps on the door, where even the light from the outside comes through. - A mirror in the bathroom would have been nice, but not a big problem.

I asked for the ground floor room (they only have one) as it saved the stairs and made coming and going easy, though there are still a few steps down. I will stay upstairs next time though as it was a bit noisy in the morning being next to the kitchen. If you are an early riser off to business this will not affect you. All the rooms are beautiful but I do love the view from the upper floor rooms. The TV was the perfect distance from the bed in the downstairs room.

A little on the warm side but I opened the window. I didn't ask but perhaps one can control the heat.

It’s modern comfort within an historical building. Although the reception area feels a little cluttered. The breakfast was made to order and was superb. I especially loved the homemade granola and my poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The staff were more than helpful.

Because it’s small, you can hear all the sounds and movements from outside, even the creaks of people going up and down the stairs, which can prevent you from getting an early nights sleep or lie in. Also, breakfast room gets packed at a certain time and you have to wait which isn’t ideal especially if you’re in a hurry.

The room was good for the price. The bathroom and shower were especially nice. The staff were incredibly helpful and very kind. Breakfast was good, though you should try to get downstairs before 9 am or so or you might have to wait for a table. The location made it easy to travel around the city, and there were several coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. Would consider staying here again in the future.

The beds were a little firm. The last night we stayed, there was a lot of noise outside the room. I suspect the seagulls were getting into the trash and banging on the wall right outside the window. Otherwise the hotel was pretty quiet and in a good neighborhood.

We were treated like royalty. We arrived mid-morning, too early for our rooms, exhausted from an overseas flight. The manager, Veo (spelling may not be correct) allowed us to sit and rest in a living room. He was super kind and accommodating. The area where the Kilronan is located is dubbed "posh" by Dubliners. It was a quiet, safe, lovely street. The breakfast included with the room was served in an elegant dining room. There were two sections on the menu and we got to choose one offering from each section in addition to coffee, tea, and juice. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see non-animal offerings in both sections of the menu. I ordered the fruit cup from section one and the pancakes from section two. The architecture of the Kilronan House dates back to the 1850s I believe. The woodwork and fireplaces are beautiful. The Kilronan is comprised of two original townhouses. My imagination soared with what life might have been like in the 1850s there with its large staircases, fireplaces, etc.

We liked everything, so there is nothing to write in the "didn't like" column.

I only met two staff at reception but they were both very friendly and professional. The room was clean and I had everything I needed in terms of toiletries, tea/coffee facilities and storage. The bed was comfortable. The location is ideal. It's a short walk to the Iveagh gardens or St Stephen's Green. The local tram service also runs nearby.

The room was in a different building from the main hotel (literally only next door, but I had to walk onto the street and through another door). Not a huge inconvenience but I pretty much means you need to be dressed and ready for the fay before breakfast. That's not how I usually organize myself in the morning so I ended up skipping breakfast in the hotel and grabbing something on the go. There was no lift so bags had to be carried up a few flights of stairs to the room. Again, not a major inconvenience but if you were traveling with a baby, the stairs might be an issue if carrying a push chair.

We have stayed in Kilronan before and we find it very quiet though it is in the heart of the city. Also there is the added bonus of being able to park the car which is taken care of by the staff and of course the excellent breakfast which is provided. There is a lovely homely atmosphere which is lacking in the city hotels I could only highly recommend to family members and friends.

There is nothing I did not like A very well managed establishment with highly motivated staff who provide an outstanding customer service. I have stayed nationwide in hotels and guesthouses but none beat Kilronan I am looking forward to my next stay already.
