Hotel De La Poste

Lovely traditional hotel in the centre of town. Our room was delightful- very spacious & really nicely decorated. It looked like it was recently renovated. I think we’d been given an upgrade. 🙏🏼 Lots of great public areas in the hotel, lounges, bars & restaurants. Staff very friendly. We were able to park about 5 mins walk away.

Unfortunately the wi-fi didn’t always work well in the room, but I’d read about this before booking. It worked fine once downstairs in the lounge.

The hotel is as central as you can get and they allow you to park in front of the property to load the luggage, which is great. Rooms are fairly spacious, there is a ski room, not huge but ok. The ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel.

The main restaurant is rather pompous and quite overpriced (particularly as the service is not great). There are other dining options, but must be booked well in advance. The bars are better and quite pleasant. The staff is generally very nice, but we did have a nightmare a check-out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lorenzo was great at organising a shuttle to take myself and my bike to Corvara so I could take part in the Maratona dles Dolomites. Breakfast was good but could have had more choice when it came to the cooked food. The location was great being right at the centre of Cortina.

Shame the private parking was not included in the cost of the stay. I parked my car in the public parking about 100 metres away. Would have been nice to have air-conditioning or a fan in the room as I was staying there in the summer and gets hot in the evening. I know it's usually a ski resort so understand it can be hard to cater for both winter and summer seasons.

Delightful hotel.Smack in the center of Cortina,yet rooms are quiet.I slept with the window open and enjoyed the cool nighttime air. Good wifi,comprehensive breakfast. Staff are kind,friendly,helpful and cheerful-these are all signs of a well-managed business. It's not luxury,but having checked out the Savoie and Christallo I'd stay here again because of the hotel's Old World character ,location and authenticity. To linger at the hotel's outdoor cafe ,sipping a cappuccino-wonderful experience. If coming by bus,hotel is 2 minutes downhill from the station.

I struggle to find anything negative. The hotel apparently was the first to open in Cortina -and their experience shows.

The hotel is located in an excellent location right in downtown. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. He kindly helped us to book ski instructor for my daughter and finally my daughter managed to do skiing. Even though the hourly cost is a bit too high, I'm willing to pay.

Ski lift and ski instructor cost is too high but overall I love this hotel very very much.

The hotel was beautifully presented with a real old fashioned grandeur about it. The staff were brilliant and the location couldn't have been better.

The key to the room was a bit fiddley.

Location was very central and convenient. Room was well presented clean and comfortable. They had an underground car park for our motorcycles. Breakfast choice was very good.

Pillow was a bit firm, Hard might be more accurate. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a repeated disturbance of loud shouting of late night revellers. Not what you might expect in Cortina?

Hotel de la Poste is right in the heart of it all! we enjoyed learning about the history of the property. Lorenzo, the head concierge, was amazing! He helped us plan a couple of outings and provided excellent recommendations!

It was perfect!

The hotel was very easy to find and location was very centralized. The room that I had were very comfortable and had such a nice view of the Dolomites from fhe small balcony.

The scrambled egg on their breakfast option, the taste wasnt that good.

The location and friendliness of this hotel are great. The concierge Lorenzo is exceptional....can there be anything about Cortina that he does not know!

Pillows on beds were like sleeping on a stone. More comfortable pillows please
