Locanda della Posta Boutique Hotel

This is an excellent small hotel right in the center of town. The staff, especially Samantha, went out of their way to help with everything from restaurant bookings to things to do while in town. The room was very large, a suite that we were upgraded to, clean and very comfortable - it had two full bathrooms too!! The breakfast is very good (which can be a struggle in Italy especially if you're trying to keep your sugar intake down!) and the location is brilliant. Next time we are here we will be staying here!!

Upon arrival, the clerk upgraded us to a larger room which made it much more comfortable. Her assistance was most welcomed. The breakfast food selections were plentiful and very appetizing. The staff providing the food and drink was so congenial and helpful. The hotel's location was wonderful as we could walk everywhere with ease.

The room had no view which feature we would have enjoyed. The parking garage was a bit farther than expected, but the staff guided us to it and we were able to drive away quite easily. Upon checkout, we were not aware of an additional tax to be paid.

As we are planning a wedding in the region, we wanted to personally experience properties in the centro to recommend to our guests in Perugia. Hotel Locanda Della Posta was a terrific place to start and a definite recommendation on our part! The check-in process was easy and quick; friendly service from check-in to check-out and the entire time between. Everyone is warm and welcoming. For unloading bags, there is a temporary car park that is, no exaggeration, 1-minute from the entrance - so convenient! We booked the standard double to view sizing and comfortability of the most basic offering and it was perfect and enjoyable. We felt there was enough space for us without feeling cramped or crowded. The room was immaculately clean. Excellent hot water and water pressure; we loved the toiletries! The breakfast room is not only a lovely space, but the buffet was plentiful with a terrific array of offerings. The service was 5-star in the dining area! We would, without a doubt, come back to this hotel and happily recommend it!

Everything was perfect. The complimentary teas, coffees and water in reception was a very nice addition. The staff were knowledgeable, warm and helpful. The member of staff on her own in the breakfast room buffet was very efficient, clearing plates swiftly, serving hot drinks very quickly and showing me how to use the orange juice machine and egg cooker! The breakfast was delicious and there was a good variety of things to eat for all dietary requirements (we are vegan and vegetarian). The room was beautiful, with warm and cosy lighting and plenty of space. The bathroom was very modern and everywhere was extremely clean. The location is perfect, everything is within a two minute walk.

Locanda della Posta is comfortable, elegant and friendly. As a base for exploring the city, it is supremely well-located. The breakfast service is excellent, with all of the usual fruit, meat, cheeses, and freshly made coffee and cappuccinos, but made outstanding by very well prepared eggs, the freshest berries, and many tasty things to mix in to the high quality yogurt. The bed was super-comfortable, air conditioning perfect (and perfectly necessary in Perugia's summer heat), and the shower a dream. High quality toiletry items included.

The room was perfect for me as a solo traveler, but might feel a bit cramped for a couple.

This hotel was in the perfect position, very close to Piazza Italia and on the Main Street to the historical centre. It is very easy to reach if coming by train. The receptionist at check-in was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size and had a large shower. There was a good choice of food at breakfast. The room had a great view down onto the Main Street.

Some more explanation with the items at breakfast would have been helpful. The pillows were a bit low for me.

Nice rooms, friendly and very polite staff, fantastic breakfast, perfect location in the center of Perugia, 150 m from the escalators from parking, excellent wifi connection if you need to work online (fast and constant), water distributor in the hall allowing to fill glass water bottles with cold water

No living/sitting room, no hall in the hotel to relax or work, low water pressure in the shower, value for money not that great, very slow elevator with capacity for 4 persons, water distributor in the hall allowing to fill glass water bottles but too slow (2-3 minutes to fill 500ml)

Locanda Della Posta was one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was incredible. Spotless, comfortable and super luxurious. The full breakfast that was included was delicious and had a great variety. We really appreciated the excellent staff and service. Gabrielli was amazing! He gave us great restaurant recommendations and helped me with my Italian. The hotel has 17 rooms and as a result, the staff can give patrons their undivided attention. Samantha and Sandra were also wonderful! We will definitely stay there again when we come back to Perugia. Highly, highly recommend this hotel and location was perfect!

Everything was perfect!

Room was terrific in size, as was bathroom. Their "standard" size was actually like a small modern suite! AC was great in 100 degree F weather too. Location was superb, accessible to everything in the old city and close enough to Mini-Metro, bus and taxi service, plus restaurants, shops and as it happened while we were there street entertainment. Staff were super helpful and friendly in both English and Italian (we speak both). One extra feature I liked: Since they were being ecologically conscious in not stocking the room refrigerator, they supplied complimentary beverages of all kinds whenever requested in whatever quantity. I would highly recommend this hotel in Perugia. Very good breakfast.

Nothing!

Its exceptional from start to end. Super clean and comfortable rooms. Modern minimalist deco. An exceptional breakfast room and lovely staff. Location couldnt be better.

Parking is nightmarish. You have no option but to use an expensive parking facility or get a fine (as I did). Incidentally the fine is equivalent to the parking cost so you can weigh your options. Room sound proofing could be better. I could hear street noise as well as somebody snoring all night in the room next door.
